- • Founding Device Fingerprinting Engineer at Prelude, a company redefining user authentication by turning security into a growth lever through optimized OTP delivery and advanced fraud detection.
- • Own the end-to-end fingerprinting roadmap: design signal collection from mobile SDKs and server-side APIs, build persistent device identity systems, detect emulators and spoofed devices, and develop network intelligence including IP reputation, TLS/JA4 fingerprinting, and carrier data.
- • Apply machine learning to detect fraud patterns — anomaly detection, clustering, supervised classification — and integrate low-latency features into a real-time scoring engine processing millions of authentications daily.
- • Research adversarial techniques by reverse-engineering anti-detect tools and automation frameworks to stay ahead of evasion tactics; lay foundations for a future team by setting engineering and data standards.
- • Join a flat, high-impact team of 60 in Paris that values ownership, bias for action, and care — where small teams move fast and ship reliable, secure products used by fast-growing companies across Europe and expanding into the US.
- • Report directly to leadership, shape the technical vision from scratch, and work in a culture that prioritizes in-person collaboration to accelerate decision-making and ownership.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in fraud detection, bot mitigation, mobile security, or detection engineering with production-shipped systems.
- • Deep knowledge of device fingerprinting: mobile hardware signals, OS-level attestation (Play Integrity, DeviceCheck, SafetyNet), browser fingerprinting, and spoofing/emulation detection.
- • Hands-on experience with network intelligence: TLS fingerprinting (JA3/JA4), IP enrichment, proxy/VPN classification, ASN analysis, and carrier-level signals.
- • Applied ML in security: feature engineering, anomaly detection, clustering, classification — with full ownership from training to production deployment.
- • Adversarial mindset: understanding of attacker tools (emulators, anti-detect browsers, residential proxies) and designing systems that assume bypass attempts.
- • Preference for simple, robust designs over clever, fragile ones — with intuition for what holds up under active adversarial pressure at scale.
- • Fluent English for collaboration in an international team and customer base.
