- • Design, build, and operate core infrastructure including APIs, LLM-powered workflows, web scraping systems, and large-scale knowledge graph architecture for a B2B SaaS platform used by developers and enterprises.
- • Architect and maintain production-grade systems capable of handling millions of API requests with a strong focus on performance, cost efficiency, and reliability across cloud and Linux server environments.
- • Own projects end-to-end — from ambiguous problem definition through deployment and iteration — shipping quickly without sacrificing system integrity.
- • Collaborate directly with the CEO and CTO on technical decisions, roadmap priorities, and foundational architectural choices that define the long-term direction of the platform.
- • Contribute broadly across the stack, including developing developer documentation, technical tutorials, internal tooling, and experimental builds that showcase and stress-test APIs.
- • Work exclusively on-site in San Francisco, 5 days per week, with no remote or hybrid options available.
- • Build systems from the ground up as a founding engineer in a seed-funded startup, shaping technical strategy and influencing product direction before Series A.
- • Operate in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is common, requiring initiative to define problems and deliver solutions without predefined specs.
- • Ensure all systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable under high-volume usage, with emphasis on observability, monitoring, and fault tolerance.
- • Work closely with the founding team to prioritize technical debt, infrastructure needs, and feature development aligned with business milestones.
- • Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and incident response for production systems supporting enterprise customers.
- • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and execute them with minimal supervision, leveraging strong computer science fundamentals.
- • Maintain and improve developer experience by creating clear, actionable documentation and internal tools that accelerate team velocity.
- • Experiment with emerging AI agent technologies and integrate them into the core platform to enhance data processing and automation capabilities.
- • Balance rapid iteration with long-term system stability, ensuring that early decisions do not compromise future scalability or maintainability.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in full-stack or backend software engineering
- • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- • Experience with agent orchestration, LLMs, or web scraping
- • Experience working with Linux servers in a production environment
- • Proven track record of shipping code to production supporting a large user base
- • Experience building entire products end-to-end, not just isolated features
- • Strong computer science fundamentals
- • Must be authorized to work in the United States — visa sponsorship is not available
- • Must be available to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days per week; relocation is required

- • Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD annually, depending on experience
