Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Design, build, and operate core infrastructure for a people-data and AI agent platform, including APIs, LLM-powered workflows, scraping systems, and large-scale knowledge graph architecture.
- • Architect and maintain production-grade systems capable of handling millions of API requests with a focus on performance, cost efficiency, and reliability across cloud and Linux server environments.
- • Own projects end-to-end — from ambiguous problem definition through deployment and iteration — shipping quickly without sacrificing system integrity.
- • Collaborate directly with the CEO and CTO on technical decisions, roadmap priorities, and foundational architectural choices that will define the company's long-term direction.
- • Contribute broadly across the stack, including developer documentation, technical tutorials, internal tooling, and experimental builds that showcase and stress-test platform APIs.
- • Work in a seed-stage AI data infrastructure startup as a foundational hire with real ownership and direct influence on the product’s technical direction as it scales toward Series A.
- • Operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment as a first-principles thinker with founder aspirations, taking initiative without detailed direction.
- • Build systems that integrate AI agents and people-data pipelines, ensuring scalability, low latency, and robust error handling in production.
- • Implement and optimize data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and resolve identity data at scale using distributed systems and microservices.
- • Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP, ensuring high availability, security, and cost optimization for core platform services.
- • Participate in technical planning sessions to define the architecture of the platform’s next-generation features and scalability milestones.
- • Write clear, maintainable code and documentation that enables rapid iteration and onboarding of future engineering hires.
- • Stress-test platform APIs through experimental builds and internal tooling to identify performance bottlenecks and reliability risks.
- • Work exclusively on-site in San Francisco, CA, with no remote work option; candidates must be available to work in-person daily.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years of professional experience shipping software to production.
- • Hands-on experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and data pipelines.
- • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and Linux server environments.
- • Strong instincts for performance, reliability, and cost-efficient system design.
- • High agency — ability to move fast, take ownership, and operate well with limited direction.
- • First-principles thinker energized by building 0-to-1 in a fast-moving environment.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD annually.
- • Early-stage equity as a founding team member.
- • On-site work environment in San Francisco, CA.
- • Direct collaboration with CEO and CTO on foundational technical decisions.
