📋 Description

• As the Founding Forward Deployed Engineer at Voxel Technologies Inc., you will serve as the tip of the spear for go-to-market efforts, directly converting operational bottlenecks into scalable platform features by rapidly prototyping, integrating with legacy data streams, and shipping production-ready code that enables computer vision and AI to improve safety and operational efficiency in industrial facilities.
• You will architect and write end-to-end systems (frontend, backend, infrastructure) that unlock massive operational efficiency for enterprise customers, integrating computer vision models with messy, existing facility infrastructure and legacy data streams such as WMS, MES, and sensors to turn raw video into productized insights on bottlenecks, throughput, and safety.
• You will lead the end-to-end design of technical solutions by working directly with the Field CTO and enterprise customers, rapidly prototyping and iterating on product capabilities based on real customer feedback, and identifying gaps between current product capabilities and enterprise requirements to shape the product roadmap.
• You will build the machine that builds the machine by creating internal tooling, reusable components, and automated workflows that allow the forward-deployed engineering team to scale rapidly, documenting systems and architecture to ensure scalability as the function grows.
• You will define how forward-deployed engineering partners with product, engineering, and sales, establishing processes and collaboration models that enable seamless integration between field deployment and core product development.
• You will have the opportunity to learn and achieve mastery in deploying computer vision systems in real-world industrial environments, gaining deep expertise in edge-case handling, system integration under constraints, and translating operational pain points into high-impact software solutions that drive measurable ROI for customers.

🎯 Requirements

• High velocity, generalist engineering capability with a track record of independently shipping production-ready software, with expertise in either Full-Stack Engineering or Perception Engineering.
• Ability to move from idea to implementation with minimal structure, thriving in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments.
• Comfort sitting in a room with enterprise operators, understanding their systemic bottlenecks, and translating that into code by the end of the day.
• Skilled at using generative AI tools, like Claude Code, to accelerate development time.
• Experience building software in fast-moving startup environments.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus.
