- • Design, develop, and deliver features, fixes, and improvements across the core product, marketing site, and internal tools for a consumer-facing fintech application with a 40,000+ person waitlist.
- • Take end-to-end ownership of major product areas such as debit card functionality and internal risk assessment tooling, from concept through launch.
- • Collaborate directly with the founder, lead engineer, and designer to architect and implement user-centric solutions that enhance product experience.
- • Build and wire up full-stack APIs using React, TypeScript, Go, and PostgreSQL to support both customer-facing and internal systems.
- • Leverage AI coding assistants and prototyping tools to accelerate feature development and improve engineering efficiency.
- • Contribute to scaling the product infrastructure to meet rapidly growing consumer demand while maintaining high-quality standards.
- • Work in a hybrid environment based in San Francisco, CA, with occasional in-person collaboration required for team alignment and product reviews.
- • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch iteration.
- • Integrate and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs to connect frontend interfaces with backend services and third-party financial systems.
- • Utilize AWS, Terraform, and Docker for infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, and containerized service management.
- • Work closely with product and design teams to translate user feedback and business requirements into technical specifications and functional features.
- • Maintain and improve code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and documentation practices.
- • Support the adoption of engineering best practices in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with broad ownership and minimal process overhead.
- • Contribute to a culture of high-quality engineering by prioritizing performance, reliability, and user experience in every shipped feature.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript (React) on the front end and comfort with Go on the back end
- • Prior experience shipping and maintaining features for B2C / consumer-facing products
- • Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- • Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Docker for infrastructure and deployment
- • Experience building and integrating REST or GraphQL APIs
- • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with broad ownership

- • Salary: $190,000 – $210,000 USD annually
