- • Build AI-powered features that are central to Peerbound’s product, directly impacting how B2B SaaS companies unlock and activate customer voices at scale for enterprise clients like AlphaSense, Braze, Canva, Databricks, and Gong.
- • Generate dynamic, always-up-to-date customer profiles by ingesting and analyzing unstructured data from call recordings, emails, surveys, and online reviews using AI models.
- • Implement AI-driven personalization systems that leverage website visitor metadata to dynamically surface the most relevant testimonials, case studies, and reviews in real time.
- • Design and deploy AI-powered surveys and interviews that intelligently adapt questions based on a customer’s expertise and current business context to extract high-value insights.
- • Own the full lifecycle of AI features: from research and prototyping to building, shipping, measuring, and iterating—working closely with the CEO, Head of Engineering, and customers.
- • Ship features frequently as part of a product-centered engineering team that values speed, quality, and pragmatism over theoretical perfection.
- • Tune prompts, fine-tune models, and optimize evaluation frameworks to ensure AI outputs are accurate, reliable, and consistently deliver magical user experiences.
- • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI ingestion from diverse sources including structured and unstructured customer touchpoints.
- • Apply distributed system design principles to ensure low-latency, high-throughput performance of AI features under enterprise-grade usage patterns.
- • Collaborate 4 days per week in-person at the company’s midtown Manhattan office near Penn Station alongside a small, elite team of engineers and product leaders.
- • Contribute to defining the foundational AI architecture and engineering culture for Peerbound as the first dedicated AI engineer, shaping how AI is integrated across the entire product stack.
- • Use LangChain/LangGraph for orchestrating LLM workflows, vector databases for retrieval-augmented generation, and robust eval frameworks to measure model performance and drift.
- • Balance deep technical exploration with pragmatic engineering decisions—prioritizing solutions that are both effective and sustainable in production.
- • Work across the stack, including database schema design, caching strategies, API development, and model deployment, ensuring seamless integration of AI components into existing systems.
- • Measure the business impact of AI features through quantitative metrics and customer feedback, aligning technical outcomes with product goals and revenue growth.
- • Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing to support a culture of excellence and accountability within the engineering team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years building features for a SaaS product, including 1+ years building LLM-based features
- • MS or PhD in engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field
- • Fluent in Python, statistics, and distributed system design
- • Real-world experience with LangChain/LangGraph, vector databases, and an eval framework
- • Ability to work in-person 4 days per week in New York City
- • Proven track record of shipping production-grade AI features with measurable business impact
