- • As an FP&A Analyst at Tenex.AI, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in constructing and fortifying the financial infrastructure of a rapidly scaling, AI-native Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider. This is a unique opportunity to move beyond routine reporting and actively shape how the business understands its financial health, organizes its operations, and builds the foundational systems for informed, agile decision-making. You will be a key collaborator, fostering strong relationships across all departments and organizational levels to ensure financial insights are integrated seamlessly into business strategy.
- • Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Operations, you will gain invaluable exposure to senior leadership and enjoy genuine ownership of impactful projects. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to grow with a dynamic company, contributing to its expansion rather than merely supporting it. Your contributions will be instrumental in guiding Tenex.AI's strategic direction and operational efficiency.
- • **Operating Model & Forecasting:** You will be responsible for the meticulous maintenance and continuous updating of the company's consolidated operating model. This includes detailed forecasting for headcount, revenue, and expenses across all business units, ensuring a comprehensive view of financial projections. Furthermore, you will own the P&L modeling at the business unit level, diligently tracking, analyzing, and clearly reporting on each unit's financial performance. Your role will extend to supporting the annual budgeting process and ongoing re-forecasting cycles, working in close partnership with business unit and department leaders to align financial plans with operational goals. You will provide critical financial analysis and sophisticated scenario modeling, empowering leadership to make well-informed strategic decisions at both the business unit and enterprise levels.
- • **Financial Operations & Reporting:** A core aspect of your role will involve tracking budget versus actual performance at both the business unit and consolidated levels. You will proactively identify and surface trends, anomalies, and opportunities within this data. You will be tasked with building and delivering insightful monthly financial reports and dashboards tailored for department heads and business unit leaders, effectively translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Developing and maintaining robust reporting packages will be essential, enabling leadership to consistently compare performance across different business units. You will act as a dedicated financial partner to department leads, assisting them in their forward planning and fostering a sense of ownership over their departmental spend. Your responsibilities will also include supporting month-end closing activities, with a strong focus on identifying and implementing opportunities for automation to streamline processes. Maintaining and enhancing the chart of accounts will be crucial for ensuring clean, audit-ready financial data.
- • **Board & Investor Reporting:** You will prepare and maintain high-quality, board-ready financial materials. This includes detailed summaries of consolidated and business unit-level performance, key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards, and thorough variance analyses. You will also support the creation of essential investor updates, due diligence materials, and fundraising decks, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely financial data. A key objective will be to build and refine board reporting templates that can effectively scale and adapt to the company's evolving growth and increasing financial complexity. Ensuring that financial narratives are clear, consistent, and strategically aligned with the company's messaging to the board and investors will be paramount.
- • **Cross-Functional Partnership:** You will engage in close collaboration with department heads to refine headcount planning and compensation forecasting, ensuring alignment between human capital and financial strategies. You will provide crucial support for board reporting, investor materials, and due diligence efforts as the company continues its rapid expansion. A significant part of your contribution will involve actively participating in building scalable finance processes and systems that can support Tenex.AI's long-term growth trajectory. You will be encouraged to leverage AI and automation to develop more efficient and scalable finance workflows, contributing to an AI-native operational environment.
