- • Kpler is seeking a highly capable and motivated FP&A Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance across the organization. This is a high-impact role offering meaningful ownership, where you will work directly with business leaders to provide actionable insights, enhance forecasting accuracy, and support strategic and operational decision-making as Kpler continues its impressive growth trajectory.
- • As an FP&A Business Partner, you will serve as the primary finance counterpart to several key business functions. Your core responsibility will be to deeply understand the operational drivers of these functions and translate them into robust financial plans. This involves aligning financial strategies with operational goals, proactively identifying potential opportunities for growth or risks that could impede progress, and empowering teams with the knowledge and tools to understand and improve their financial performance.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and refining financial models that support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and long-term planning. This includes building complex financial models from scratch, maintaining existing models, and ensuring their accuracy and relevance in a rapidly evolving business environment. Your analytical prowess will be crucial in assessing the financial implications of various business scenarios, providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and functional heads.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves partnering with department heads and budget owners to develop detailed annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts. You will guide them through the budgeting process, challenge assumptions where necessary, and ensure that budgets are realistic, achievable, and aligned with the company's overall strategic objectives. Your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely will be essential in fostering financial discipline and accountability across the organization.
- • You will be responsible for the monthly financial review process for your assigned business units. This includes preparing variance analyses, explaining performance drivers, and identifying key trends and insights. You will present these findings to business leaders, offering recommendations for corrective actions or opportunities to capitalize on favorable trends. Your proactive engagement will help ensure that business leaders have a clear understanding of their financial performance and can make informed decisions.
- • Kpler operates in dynamic global commodity, energy, and maritime markets, and your role will involve staying abreast of market trends and their potential impact on Kpler's financial performance. You will translate these external factors into financial forecasts and strategic considerations, providing a forward-looking perspective that helps the company navigate market volatility.
- • You will contribute to the development and enhancement of Kpler's financial reporting and planning systems. This may involve working with the broader Finance team to implement new tools, improve data integrity, and streamline financial processes to support scalability and efficiency as the company continues to grow.
- • This role requires a proactive and collaborative approach. You will build strong relationships across various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations, to gain a comprehensive understanding of their activities and challenges. Your ability to influence stakeholders at all levels through data-driven insights and clear communication will be key to your success.
- • Ultimately, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing them with the financial intelligence needed to make sound strategic and operational decisions. You will help drive profitable growth, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the long-term financial health and success of Kpler.
- • We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships across the business, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is excited to influence strategy through data, modelling, and thoughtful financial analysis. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs will be critical.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or a similar analytical role, with a strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills. Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ERP systems is highly desirable.
