- • Lead the Fraud Operations team responsible for minimizing fraud across DailyPay’s on-demand pay, debit card, and marketplace rewards platforms.
- • Own and drive Key Results (KRs) for the fraud department, developing and executing strategies to achieve and exceed confirmed fraud rate targets.
- • Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fraud investigations to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- • Oversee a team of 5–15 fraud investigators and 3–5 team leads, providing coaching, performance management, and career development guidance.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with PeopleOps and Finance to design and scale the long-term staffing model, including the creation of specialized sub-teams.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and operational discussions with critical external partners to align fraud detection logic and ensure regulatory compliance.
- • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to embed risk controls into the product lifecycle and new product launches.
- • Author executive summaries and board-level reports that quantify the financial ROI of the fraud program and communicate impact to senior leadership.
- • Evaluate, test, and implement new fraud detection technologies and automation tools to enhance prevention capabilities and operational efficiency.
- • Direct end-to-end operational implementation for product launches and market expansions, ensuring all investigative workflows are optimized for new regions and use cases.
- • Lead the department’s response to system-wide incidents or waves of bad-actor activity, coordinating with Engineering and Product to deploy immediate mitigations and prevent recurrence.
- • Translate complex technical fraud findings into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
- • Maintain deep expertise in high-growth fintech fraud typologies including Account Takeover (ATO), identity theft, and debit card fraud.
- • Continuously monitor and improve fraud metrics, reporting structures, and team performance benchmarks to support data-driven decision-making.
- • Foster a culture of intellectual honesty, curiosity, and proactive problem-solving within the fraud operations team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree with 6–10 years of experience in fraud, accounting, or finance
- • Minimum of 2 years of people management and leadership experience
- • Mastery of high-growth fintech fraud typologies, including Account Takeover (ATO), identity theft, and debit card fraud
- • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience applying AI/Automation tools to optimize operational workflows and capacity
- • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to translate technical fraud findings into business insights for cross-functional partners
- • Multi-institutional fintech experience and CFE certification preferred
