Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Fraud Specialist at JustPlay, you will be at the forefront of protecting our rapidly growing mobile gaming platform from the ever-evolving landscape of fraudulent activities. This is a critical role where your expertise will directly contribute to safeguarding our revenue streams, mitigating financial risks, and ensuring the integrity and trustworthiness of our products for both players and partners.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive strategies for fraud detection, prevention, and response, covering a wide spectrum of potential threats including monetisation fraud, user behaviour anomalies, and ad operations integrity.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve the meticulous monitoring of user behaviour, ad traffic patterns, and monetisation signals across our platform. This proactive approach will enable you to identify and flag potentially fraudulent activities before they can cause significant damage.
- • When suspicious activities are detected, either through internal alerts or external reports, you will conduct in-depth investigations. This requires a sharp analytical mind, the ability to sift through large datasets, and the skill to connect disparate pieces of information to uncover the root cause of fraudulent behaviour.
- • A key aspect of this role is the proactive development of fraud prevention strategies. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and continuously refining a robust set of controls, automated rules, and detection signals. The goal is to minimize fraud exposure while ensuring that these measures do not negatively impact the experience of our legitimate users or the quality of our revenue.
- • You will collaborate closely with our Data and Product teams to enhance our detection models, scoring logic, and experimentation frameworks. Your insights into emerging fraud patterns and their business impact will be crucial in evolving these systems to stay one step ahead of fraudsters.
- • As a subject matter expert in fraud, you will actively participate in cross-functional discussions. This includes providing valuable fraud domain expertise to teams working on monetisation strategies, user flow design, and new feature development, ensuring that fraud prevention is considered from the initial stages of product development.
- • You will partner with Data, Engineering, Operations, and UX teams to seamlessly integrate fraud-aware thinking into our detection pipelines, alerting systems, and incident response workflows. This collaborative approach ensures a unified front against fraud.
- • Owning and prioritizing key fraud-related performance indicators (KPIs) is essential. You will track metrics such as false positive rates, fraud velocity, and user friction to drive continuous optimization of our fraud management systems.
- • Your analytical skills will be leveraged to deeply analyze fraud patterns, providing strategic recommendations for product design changes. The aim is to build more fraud-resilient user experiences while minimizing any inconvenience for genuine players.
- • This role demands a proactive, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You must be comfortable making data-informed decisions, prioritizing tasks with precision, and acting with urgency when necessary.
- • You will be empowered to take full ownership of critical fraud-related initiatives, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to achieving measurable outcomes.
- • By joining JustPlay, you will be contributing to a company that is building the engine behind rewarded mobile gaming, fostering a fairer and more sustainable Play-to-Earn ecosystem.
- • Your work will directly impact millions of users, helping to shape a major shift in the mobile gaming industry.
- • You will have the freedom and autonomy to build end-to-end solutions, operating with startup speed while benefiting from the stability of a profitable, veteran-led company focused on long-term success.
- • This is an opportunity to make a significant mark in a company that values outcomes over hype and is dedicated to building a business that is built to last.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in fraud detection and prevention, risk management, or trust & safety within digital platforms, with a strong preference for experience in mobile gaming, gaming loyalty apps, or mobile monetisation.
- • Deep understanding of various ad monetisation fraud types, such as click injection, fake installs, SDK manipulation, and impression fraud, as well as other related risk vectors.
- • Proven ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and translate complex data into actionable risk insights, demonstrating a strong analytical mindset.
- • Demonstrated skill in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and operations specialists, to drive the implementation of scalable fraud solutions.
- • Comfort and confidence in making data-informed decisions in dynamic and rapidly changing environments.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Flexible working hours and options for digital nomads, occasional office visitors, or regular office-goers, promoting excellent Work-Life Balance and Flexibility.
- • Opportunity to participate in our Virtual Share Option Program (VSOP), allowing you to share in the success of a profitable company.
- • Free personal coaching sessions through our partner nilo.health, providing comprehensive Mental Health Support.
- • A competitive personal development budget of up to €2000 per year for training, conferences, workshops, and free language courses with Chatterbug, supporting your Training & Development.
- • For Germany-based employees: 25 vacation days, a free Gympass gold subscription, a free monthly Deutschland-Ticket, and a monthly €50 tax-free internet contribution.
- • State-of-the-Art Equipment provided, regardless of whether you prefer a MacBook or Windows device, ensuring you have the technical gear needed to succeed.
