- • As a Fraud Strategy Analyst Lead at USAA, you will drive the organization’s overall fraud strategy, policies, and analytic capabilities for fraud rules management, playing a critical role in protecting the financial security of military members and their families.
- • Day to day, you will lead cross-functional teams to improve process controls and automation, develop and monitor strategic plans, serve as a subject matter expert in financial crimes, leverage data analysis tools (SQL, SAS, BI, Snowflake, Python) to derive insights, and communicate complex findings to senior executives to influence business decisions and risk mitigation strategies.
- • You will join USAA’s Financial Crimes team within a mission-driven organization committed to serving the military community, where core values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, and service guide collaboration in a complex, matrixed environment with opportunities for remote work (continental U.S.) and industry engagement.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in fraud prevention, regulatory compliance (Reg E, Reg CC, UDAAP, FACTA, Reg Z), AI/ML applications in fraud detection, and enterprise-scale strategy execution, positioning yourself as a leader in financial crimes analytics with impact on enterprise-wide fraud mitigation and innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
- • 8 years of experience in financial crimes supporting stakeholder consultation, needs assessment, requirement translation, and prescription of technology solutions
- • Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience using fraud rules management to recommend and implement strategies that reduce or mitigate loss and fraud exposures
- • Knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools, or other analysis software
- • Extensive knowledge of bank laws and regulations related to money movement and/or payments, including Reg E, Reg CC, UDAAP, FACTA, and Reg Z
- • At least 10 years of Data Analytics experience leveraging Snowflake SQL and/or SAS in the financial services industry
