📋 Description

  • Solenis LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Food Safety Auditor to join our team on a part-time, self-employed basis, focusing on conducting essential audits for two globally recognized fast-food brands across various locations in Sweden.
  • This long-term freelance collaboration offers a predictable workflow with quarterly audit cycles, providing a stable and consistent portfolio of work for an independent consultant.
  • As a Food Safety Auditor, your primary responsibility will be to perform structured food safety audits, ensuring that all audited sites rigorously adhere to stringent standards for hygiene, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • You will be tasked with conducting these audits approximately four times per year for each of the two major fast-food brands, with each on-site audit session lasting approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
  • The average weekly commitment for this role is estimated to be between 6 to 7 hours, offering significant flexibility for individuals managing their own consultancy practices.
  • While the core work involves regular business hours, there may be occasional requirements for evening and weekend audits on an ad hoc basis, necessitating a degree of flexibility in your schedule.
  • This role demands national travel throughout Sweden to visit various client sites, ensuring comprehensive coverage and oversight.
  • Solenis is committed to supporting its freelance partners, and all necessary travel expenses, including mileage, parking fees, and accommodation where required, will be fully reimbursed.
  • Beyond Sweden, there is a potential opportunity to extend your auditing services to other Nordic countries, such as Norway and Denmark, should additional audit needs arise in those regions, offering a chance to broaden your professional scope.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in verifying compliance with critical food safety frameworks, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), general hygiene standards, and the specific internal quality benchmarks set by our esteemed clients.
  • The role requires a professional who can operate independently, demonstrating reliability and a structured approach to all aspects of the auditing process, particularly in the meticulous preparation and submission of audit reports.
  • You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism in your interactions with various stakeholders at client sites, showcasing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage relationships with site managers and staff is paramount to conducting thorough and constructive audits.
  • This position is ideal for a seasoned food safety professional who thrives on autonomy and seeks to leverage their expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity.
  • By collaborating with Solenis, you will be contributing to the operational excellence and brand integrity of leading international food service companies.
  • Your work will directly impact the maintenance of high standards in food preparation, handling, and storage, safeguarding public health and consumer trust.
  • The opportunity to work with globally recognized restaurant chains provides a valuable addition to your professional portfolio and experience.
  • Solenis values its freelance consultants and aims to foster a supportive and mutually beneficial long-term working relationship.
  • This role is designed for individuals who are already established as registered self-employed consultants in Sweden, ensuring a smooth and compliant engagement from the outset.
  • Your deep understanding of Swedish food safety regulations will be a cornerstone of your success in this position, ensuring all audits are conducted in full accordance with local legal requirements.
  • The ability to conduct audits in both Swedish and English, spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with diverse teams and for comprehensive reporting.
  • You will be an integral part of Solenis's mission to elevate hygiene, safety, and operational standards within the food industry, contributing to a safer food supply chain.
  • This is a unique chance to apply your specialized knowledge in a practical, impactful, and flexible manner, working with high-profile clients in the fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality assurance.
  • The role offers the satisfaction of contributing to brand reputation and consumer confidence through diligent and thorough auditing practices.
  • You will be an ambassador for Solenis, representing our commitment to excellence in food safety consultancy.
