đź“‹ Description

  • • Are you a talented Physicist with a passion for Python and a keen eye for detail? Toloka AI, in partnership with Mindrift, is seeking skilled individuals like you to contribute to groundbreaking AI projects. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of physics principles and your Python expertise to shape the future of artificial intelligence. As a Freelance Physicist and Python Expert, you will play a crucial role in testing, evaluating, and enhancing sophisticated AI systems for leading technology companies.
  • • This role is project-based, offering flexibility and the chance to work on diverse challenges without the commitment of permanent employment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and logical consistency of AI models by applying your scientific rigor and analytical skills. Your contributions will directly impact the development and refinement of AI technologies that are transforming various industries.
  • • The core of your work will involve designing and executing complex physics problems that mirror real-world professional scenarios. This requires not only a strong theoretical foundation but also the ability to translate abstract concepts into practical, testable scenarios. You will be tasked with meticulously evaluating AI solutions, scrutinizing their correctness, identifying underlying assumptions, and verifying that they operate within defined constraints. This deep dive into AI performance is essential for identifying areas of improvement and ensuring robust functionality.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be to validate calculations and simulations performed by AI systems. You will utilize your strong Python programming skills, specifically with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy, to perform independent checks and ensure the accuracy of AI-generated results. This hands-on validation process is critical for building trust and confidence in the AI's capabilities.
  • • Beyond validation, you will actively contribute to improving the AI's reasoning processes. This involves analyzing how the AI arrives at its conclusions and providing feedback to align its logic with industry-standard principles and best practices. Your insights will help refine the AI's ability to handle complex, multi-step problems, ensuring it can reason effectively and ethically.
  • • You will apply structured scoring criteria to assess the performance of AI models across various tasks. This systematic approach ensures objective evaluation and provides clear metrics for progress and areas needing further development. Your ability to apply these criteria consistently and accurately will be highly valued.
  • • This opportunity is ideal for physicists who possess practical Python experience and are seeking flexible, part-time project work. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic background in Physics or a closely related field, such as Engineering Physics, Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Optics and Acoustics, or similar disciplines. A minimum of 3 years of professional physics experience is essential to bring the necessary depth of knowledge and practical application to the role.
  • • Strong written English skills, at a C1 or C2 proficiency level, are a must, as clear communication is vital for project collaboration and reporting. Furthermore, a strong command of Python for numerical validation is a core requirement, enabling you to perform the necessary data analysis and computational tasks effectively.
  • • A stable internet connection is a prerequisite for remote collaboration and timely task completion. While not strictly mandatory, professional certifications such as CPhys, EurPhys, or MInstP, along with experience in international or applied projects, would be considered significant advantages, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards and practical application of physics knowledge.
  • • The project time expectations are estimated at around 10-20 hours per week during active project phases. It's important to note that this is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, and it applies only during the active periods of a project. This flexibility allows you to manage your workload effectively alongside other commitments.
  • • Toloka AI offers competitive compensation for your contributions, with rates potentially reaching up to $55 per hour. Payment structures may include fixed project rates or individual rates, depending on the specific project's nature. Some projects may also include performance-based incentive payments, rewarding exceptional contributions. Please be aware that rates can vary based on your expertise, the results of skills assessments, your location, specific project demands, and other influencing factors. Highly specialized experts may be offered higher rates, while onboarding or non-core project phases might involve lower rates. Detailed payment information will be provided for each project you undertake.
  • • By joining Toloka AI and Mindrift, you become part of a dynamic ecosystem that connects brilliant minds with cutting-edge AI development. You will gain exposure to diverse AI challenges, enhance your skill set, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of artificial intelligence technology.
