- • As a core member of Phantom’s Growth & Engagement team, you will build and operate the backend systems that power rapid experimentation, personalized engagement features, and scalable growth initiatives. You’ll own services for action cards, referral flows, push-notification pipelines, and onboarding enhancements ensuring each feature can be launched, measured, and iterated on with minimal friction.
- • Day to day, you will design, implement, and maintain a feature-flag and A/B-testing framework; build and scale microservices for referral programs, action-card engines, and push-notification orchestration; instrument services with real-time metrics, tracing, and logging; own on-call rotations, define SLAs, write incident response playbooks; collaborate with Product, Frontend, Design, and Analytics teams to translate hypotheses into backend solutions; and ensure all growth systems meet sub-100ms latency targets under load with ≥99.9% uptime.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in building large-scale, high-availability backend systems, gain hands-on experience with Web3 and crypto wallet integrations, strengthen your system design and architecture skills for performance-critical services, and grow as a technical leader through mentoring engineers and driving cross-functional initiatives that directly impact user growth and engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ Years of Backend Experience: Demonstrated success in building large-scale, high-availability systems in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS (or similar frameworks)
- • Web3/Crypto Knowledge: Familiarity with on-chain data, wallet integrations, or decentralized application patterns is strongly preferred
- • Strong System Design & Architecture Skills: Ability to translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions, with a keen eye for performance trade-offs and fault tolerance
- • Leadership & Communication: Experience mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
