Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the customer-first experience: You will design and ship the web applications that greet every new FINN subscriber, guiding them from first click to key-in-hand delivery. Your code will be the first impression for thousands of drivers switching to flexible, electric mobility every month.
- • Shape the Onboarding product from 0 → 1: Join the founding members of the Onboarding squad and have true end-to-end ownership. You will translate Figma prototypes into pixel-perfect React components, integrate GraphQL endpoints, and iterate rapidly based on A/B tests and user feedback.
- • Deliver bullet-proof quality at scale: Every line you write must withstand traffic spikes during campaign launches and remain resilient when we double our fleet size. You will write unit, integration and e2e tests with Jest & Cypress, bundle efficiently with Webpack/Vite, and monitor real-time metrics in Datadog.
- • Live the “build it, run it” philosophy: From feature flag to rollback, you will deploy via our fully serverless AWS stack (Lambda, S3, CloudFront) and keep an eye on error budgets and Core Web Vitals. On-call rotation is lightweight and shared—no hero culture, just solid ownership.
- • Collaborate in cross-functional squads: Work daily with product managers, UX researchers, backend engineers and risk & fraud analysts to reduce KYC drop-off, speed up identity verification, and make checkout feel like Amazon Prime for cars.
- • Champion accessibility & performance: Accessibility is not an afterthought. You will audit components with axe-core, keyboard-navigate every flow, and obsess over <100 ms interaction times so that every customer—regardless of device or ability—enjoys a silky-smooth journey.
- • Mentor and be mentored: Whether you are reviewing a junior’s first PR or pairing with a staff engineer on advanced React patterns, you will both share knowledge and level up continuously. Our weekly Frontend Guild is your stage to introduce new libraries or debate the merits of server components.
- • Drive technical strategy: Evaluate when to adopt bleeding-edge Next.js features, migrate to the new React Compiler, or sunset legacy packages. Your proposals will directly influence the roadmap and keep FINN’s stack modern and maintainable.
- • Relentless user focus: Watch Hotjar recordings, read NPS comments, and jump on occasional user calls. Empathy drives your backlog as much as metrics do.
- • Celebrate wins & learn from failures: We demo every Friday, ship dark on Monday, and retrospect honestly. From Oktoberfest team outings to remote game nights, you will join a culture that values both craft and camaraderie.
