📋 Description

• • As a Frontend Platform Engineer on Stripe’s JavaScript Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in enabling thousands of engineers worldwide to build, test, and ship frontend code faster and more reliably. Your work directly impacts developer productivity and the overall velocity of Stripe’s product teams by maintaining and advancing the foundational tooling that powers the company’s frontend ecosystem.
• • Day to day, you will build and maintain Stripe’s frontend package manager, build toolchain, bundler setup, and TypeScript infrastructure; lay the groundwork for AI-native frontend development; drive consistency and best practices across JavaScript codebases through tooling; own SLOs for build performance, install speed, and developer tooling reliability; debug and resolve developer-facing incidents during on-call rotations; and partner with frontend product and platform teams to identify and eliminate friction in the edit/build/test loop.
• • You will join the JavaScript Infrastructure Engineering team, a high-impact, high-leverage, and high-visibility group within Stripe that supports the productivity of frontend engineers across the organization. This team operates at multiple levels of the stack, managing a codebase of several million lines of code used by thousands of engineers globally, and is instrumental in ensuring that Stripe’s engineers can focus on innovation rather than tooling friction.
