Your code will power Reticle, our real-time contextual data platform that ingests and classifies millions of URL requests per minute, giving brands the precision they need to serve relevant ads without relying on third-party cookies.
- • Own the full development lifecycle for new features that directly improve campaign-ops efficiency. From white-boarding user stories with product managers to shipping production-grade code, you will translate complex business requirements into elegant, scalable solutions that analysts and media buyers rely on every day.
- • Build lightning-fast, pixel-perfect front-end experiences in Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You will craft intuitive dashboards for campaign management, tag configuration, and measurement workflows that reduce time-to-launch from hours to minutes.
- • Architect and maintain robust back-end services in Python and TypeScript, exposing secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs. These endpoints integrate seamlessly with Google Tag Manager, major DSPs, and internal microservices, ensuring data consistency and millisecond-level response times.
- • Design and optimize data models in PostgreSQL and MySQL to handle terabytes of bid-stream and classification data. Where appropriate, leverage MongoDB or Elasticsearch to power real-time analytics and full-text search capabilities.
- • Collaborate with DevOps to containerize services (Docker/Kubernetes), automate CI/CD pipelines, and deploy infrastructure-as-code on AWS or GCP. You will champion blue-green and canary releases that keep Reticle at 99.9 % uptime while shipping multiple times per day.
- • Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests that give the team confidence to refactor aggressively. Participate in peer code reviews, championing clean architecture, SOLID principles, and rigorous documentation.
- • Integrate with external ad-platform APIs to automate pixel creation, tag generation, and measurement configuration. Your work will eliminate manual setup steps that previously took hours, freeing media strategists to focus on insights and optimization.
- • Partner with Data Scientists to expose new contextual signals—sentiment, emotion, and semantic categories—through well-versioned APIs that scale horizontally and cost-effectively.
- • Serve as a technical mentor to junior developers, running lunch-and-learns on topics like advanced React patterns, Python async best practices, or Terraform modules for repeatable infrastructure.
- • Stay ahead of the ad-tech curve: evaluate emerging standards like Privacy Sandbox, experiment with server-side tagging, and propose architectural upgrades that keep Hotspex Media at the forefront of privacy-first advertising.
- • Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement by suggesting new tools, refining agile ceremonies, and celebrating wins in our weekly “Demo & Donuts” sessions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional experience shipping production-grade web applications in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- • Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript for building scalable back-end services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs
- • Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and at least one NoSQL or search engine (MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- • Demonstrated ability to work with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for containerized deployments
- • Nice-to-have: exposure to ad-tech ecosystems, DSP integrations, or privacy-first advertising standards
