- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation for AI training datasets.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately reflect real-world software engineering scenarios.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code behavior.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, logical inconsistencies, and potential failure modes in both task specifications and submitted code solutions.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality training data for AI models.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to validate functionality and detect subtle defects.
- • Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring efforts to improve code quality and maintainability across project artifacts.
- • Perform production-style migrations and evaluate the impact of code changes in simulated enterprise environments.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks that mirror actual software engineering challenges faced in industry settings.
- • Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- • Maintain consistent documentation of task design decisions, test coverage metrics, and validation artifacts for internal review.
- • Use Python and JavaScript/TypeScript as primary languages; apply working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go where relevant to task design.
- • Operate with professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, grammatically correct, and technically precise specifications and feedback.
- • Contribute to a global AI training initiative by creating realistic coding scenarios that improve the performance of AI systems in software engineering tasks.
- • Work remotely with no fixed hours; manage own tools, infrastructure, and time allocation.
- • May simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with project obligations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
