- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation for AI training datasets.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately reflect real-world software engineering scenarios.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code behavior.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with production standards.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, logical inconsistencies, and potential failure modes in both task specifications and submitted solutions.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs across diverse programming contexts.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to validate functionality and detect subtle defects.
- • Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring efforts to improve code quality and maintainability in simulated production environments.
- • Perform production-style migrations and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on system behavior and test coverage.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workflow.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks that simulate real software engineering challenges for AI model training and evaluation.
- • Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to improve the quality and diversity of training data.
- • Maintain consistent output quality across diverse programming languages including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, or Go.
- • Use own tools and infrastructure to complete tasks; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
- • Contribute to an AI training project in collaboration with a leading AI lab, directly influencing the quality of AI model performance on real coding tasks.
- • Work as an independent consultant; may simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with this engagement.
- • Receive payment on a per-project basis, with rates estimated based on anticipated task complexity and completion time.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
