- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation for AI training datasets.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately reflect real-world software engineering scenarios.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code behavior.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, logical inconsistencies, and potential failure modes in both task specifications and submitted solutions.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code implementations, and expected outputs across diverse programming contexts.
- • Contribute to the creation of production-realistic coding challenges used to train and evaluate AI models in software engineering tasks.
- • Participate in structured peer review processes to assess the quality and accuracy of submissions from other contributors.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to validate functionality and identify subtle defects.
- • Perform code reviews and refactoring tasks to improve code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Execute production migrations and system updates as part of task design, ensuring backward compatibility and minimal disruption.
- • Manage own schedule and workload as a part-time, project-based consultant with no fixed hours or mandatory deadlines.
- • Use personal tools and environments to complete all work; no company-provided hardware or software is provided.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous task descriptions and feedback.
- • Deliver high-quality, validated artifacts including reference implementations, test suites, and structured peer review feedback.
- • Work independently on project-based assignments with no direct supervision or team collaboration required during execution.
- • May simultaneously provide similar services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with this engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
