📋 Description

• • Own the full lifecycle of sophisticated, data-driven features for a cloud cost-optimization platform that Fortune-500 customers rely on to save millions in cloud spend. You will architect, build, test, and ship end-to-end—from pixel-perfect dashboards to high-throughput backend services—while acting as the technical anchor for your squad.
• • Design and deliver advanced React-based user interfaces that surface complex multi-cloud cost analytics through interactive charts, graphs, and drill-down flows. Every component you craft must render smoothly on datasets that exceed hundreds of millions of rows and update in near real-time.
• • Translate product requirements into resilient technical designs, balancing speed of delivery with long-term scalability. You will create detailed RFCs, sequence diagrams, and data-flow docs that allow backend, data, and DevOps engineers to align quickly and ship in parallel.
• • Build and maintain Python-based backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs that power the frontend. Expect to model cost-allocation rules, schedule asynchronous data pipelines, and optimize query performance against DynamoDB, BigQuery, and S3 data lakes.
• • Implement robust observability: distributed tracing, structured logging, and real-time alerting that surface anomalies in cloud-billing data before customers notice. Roughly 50 % of your time will be spent diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks and production incidents.
• • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) to accelerate prototyping, generate tests, and enforce coding standards. You will evangelize these practices across the team and refine prompts to maximize productivity without sacrificing quality.
• • Collaborate daily with product managers, UX designers, and data scientists in a fully remote, async-first environment. You will demo features weekly, gather rapid feedback, and iterate continuously while maintaining a high bar for accessibility and user experience.
• • Champion code quality through comprehensive unit/integration tests, peer reviews, and automated CI/CD pipelines. You will set SLAs, define feature flags, and perform blue-green deployments on AWS ECS and Lambda to achieve zero-downtime releases.
• • Contribute to the architectural evolution of a cloud-native, event-driven system that ingests terabytes of billing data nightly. You will evaluate new AWS services, design for multi-region failover, and ensure SOC-2-grade security and compliance.
• • Mentor junior engineers via pair programming, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Your guidance will shape team standards for TypeScript patterns, Python packaging, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK).
• • Stay ahead of the FinOps domain: attend virtual meetups, experiment with emerging cost-optimization algorithms, and feed insights back into the roadmap. Your curiosity directly influences which features delight customers next quarter.
