Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the complete software lifecycle for WalkMe’s Digital Adoption Platform, from white-board ideation to production deployment and post-release optimization. You will architect and ship features that directly influence how millions of end-users interact with SAP and WalkMe technologies, turning complex enterprise workflows into intuitive, guided experiences.
  • • Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices in NodeJS and TypeScript that power real-time analytics, AI-driven guidance, and automation workflows. You will write clean, testable code that handles tens of thousands of requests per second while keeping latency low and reliability sky-high.
  • • Drive client-side excellence using modern JavaScript frameworks—primarily Angular with React as an advantage—to craft pixel-perfect, accessible, and performant UIs. Your front-end work will be consumed by Fortune 500 customers who demand WCAG-compliant, responsive interfaces that load in milliseconds.
  • • Continuously refactor and modernize a multi-million-line codebase shared across global teams. You will introduce new patterns, eliminate technical debt, and champion best practices such as trunk-based development, feature flags, and comprehensive unit/integration test coverage (targeting >80%).
  • • Instrument, monitor, and tune distributed systems running on AWS and Kubernetes. You will own SLIs/SLOs, set up alerting with Datadog/New Relic, and lead incident response to ensure 99.9% uptime for mission-critical federal workloads.
  • • Collaborate daily with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and Data Scientists to translate user pain points into elegant technical solutions. You will participate in discovery workshops, rapid prototyping sessions, and A/B test analysis to validate hypotheses before a single line of production code is written.
  • • Act as a force multiplier by mentoring junior engineers through pair programming, design reviews, and lunch-and-learn sessions. You will contribute to hiring loops, onboarding playbooks, and internal tech talks that raise the bar for engineering excellence across the organization.
  • • Ensure security and compliance for U.S. federal customers by implementing FedRAMP controls, encrypting data in transit and at rest, and conducting regular dependency scans. You will partner with our InfoSec team to maintain SOC 2 and FISMA readiness.
  • • Document architectural decisions in ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) and maintain living API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger. Your artifacts will enable seamless handoffs between squads and provide auditors with clear evidence of system design.
  • • Embrace a hybrid work rhythm—three days a week in our NYC SoHo office—where whiteboard sessions, spontaneous hallway conversations, and team breakfasts fuel creativity, while remote days offer deep-focus time to crush complex problems without distractions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of professional experience building production-grade web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks
  • • 3+ years of hands-on backend development with NodeJS, including microservices, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous processing
  • • 1+ years of recent experience with Angular (React experience is a strong plus) building responsive, accessible SPAs
  • • Proven track record designing high-performance systems with MongoDB or MySQL, including indexing, sharding, and query optimization
  • • U.S. citizenship required to support federal customer projects and obtain necessary security clearances

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Hybrid work schedule—3 days in our vibrant NYC office, 2 days wherever you’re most productive
  • • Quarterly wellness reimbursements, daily BrightBreaks, and an annual Wellness Month every July to keep mind and body in top shape
  • • Competitive total rewards package including base salary of $90K–$120K, annual bonus, and robust retirement contributions tailored to your region
  • • Generous annual leave plus RefreshMe Days sprinkled throughout the year to ensure you disconnect and recharge
