• • As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Ascertain, you will play a pivotal role in constructing the core functionality of our AI platform. This involves building and maintaining scalable, robust infrastructure, developing a modern and intuitive frontend user experience, and engineering high-performance backend services. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing best practices across our infrastructure, ensuring stringent security measures, optimizing our CI/CD pipelines, and strategizing our cloud hosting approach. Being one of our earliest engineering hires, you will possess significant ownership in shaping not only the technical architecture of our platform but also in molding our nascent engineering culture. Ascertain is headquartered in New York City, fostering a collaborative environment where a portion of our engineering team works in person. However, we also embrace a distributed workforce, hiring engineers across the U.S. for fully remote roles. • • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment. You will be tasked with delivering complete product functionality, spanning all layers of our technology stack. This includes developing intuitive and responsive front-end applications utilizing React and TypeScript, ensuring a seamless user experience. On the backend, you will design and develop scalable services using Python and the FastAPI framework, optimizing for performance and reliability. Collaboration is key to our success; you will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to meticulously define technical requirements and translate them into robust, well-engineered software solutions. A critical aspect of your role will involve active participation in code reviews, where you will provide constructive feedback to peers, uphold rigorous code quality standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and best practices.
