📋 Description

• As a Full Stack Engineer on the Agentic Platform & MCP Integrations team, you will build the critical technical foundation that enables AI agents to securely and reliably interact with Progressive Leasing’s internal systems, directly accelerating engineering productivity across the organization and supporting the company’s mission to innovate through technology.
• You will own end-to-end development of MCP server connections, agentic workflow tooling, and full stack platform features that empower AI coding agents like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to perform meaningful actions across Jira, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow, and other systems, making you a force multiplier for every engineering team.
• You will join Prog Tech, a forward-thinking engineering organization within Progressive Leasing that values daily progress, experimentation, and inclusive collaboration, where your work contributes to a culture of innovation and continuous delivery in a remote-first environment.
• You will deepen your expertise in agentic architecture, Model Context Protocol, and AI-augmented development practices while shaping the future of how engineering teams leverage AI at scale, positioning yourself at the forefront of AI-enabled software development.
• Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that expose internal systems — including Jira, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow, and others — as secure, well-governed, agent-accessible tools with defined interfaces and resource exposure.
• Develop full stack platform features using TypeScript/Node.js on the backend and React on the frontend, creating production-grade tooling that engineering teams rely on daily to streamline workflows and improve developer experience.
• Design and implement API integrations that grant AI coding agents structured, secure access to internal systems, enabling reliable, standards-compliant code generation and reducing manual toil.
• Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions that automate AI review gates, context validation, and deployment workflows as part of the FastPassAI platform, ensuring safe and efficient agent-driven development.
• Author and maintain structured context documentation such as CLAUDE.md files, ADRs, architecture docs, and STANDARDS.md to help AI agents produce high-quality, context-aware output at scale.
• Implement agentic workflow patterns including multi-step reasoning, tool use, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and failure handling within the Sidekick agent infrastructure to improve reliability and trust in AI-assisted development.
• Collaborate with the AI Enablement Team and broader engineering organization to identify integration needs, gather feedback, and evolve the platform to meet changing requirements across the enterprise.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize MCP server performance and agent interactions, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of agent-accessible services.
• Contribute to technical standards and best practices for agentic development, helping to establish Progressive Leasing as a leader in responsible AI adoption in engineering.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers in adopting AI tools effectively, promoting knowledge sharing and upskilling across teams.
• Stay current with emerging trends in AI agents, LLM tooling, and context protocols, bringing innovative ideas to improve the platform’s capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of full stack development experience with strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and React, including production experience in both backend and frontend systems
• Hands-on experience building or consuming MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, including tool definition, resource exposure, and agent-to-system connectivity
• Practical experience with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot as development tools, including authoring context files and configuring agentic workflows
