📋 Description

• Serve as the forward-deployed engineering point of contact for international partners and customers, providing hands-on support for SDK integrations, troubleshooting issues, ensuring compliant integration paths, and feeding real-world customer needs into the SDK roadmap.
• Own the end-to-end development and maintenance of the mobile application and SDK across both iOS and Android platforms, from UI/interaction design down to application logic and on-device capabilities powering core product features.
• Deliver complete, working features across the full stack — starting from the mobile client, extending through API design, and into backend services — ensuring seamless functionality from device to cloud.
• Design clean, well-documented, and compliant SDK interfaces for third-party and partner integrations, prioritizing ease of adoption, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Drive AI-assisted development practices across the engineering team, leveraging tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot with critical judgment to verify and refine generated code.
• Own the reliability, performance, and latency of the entire client-to-service pipeline, collaborating closely with hardware/firmware, product, and AI teams to ensure cohesive device ↔ app ↔ cloud experiences.
• Work true full-stack: independently own features from mobile client through backend services, demonstrating ability to extend beyond mobile specialization into API and server-side logic.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, hardware, and AI teams to align technical implementation with product vision, compliance requirements, and user experience goals.
• Ensure all mobile and SDK components adhere to global data security and privacy standards including SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO27001, ISO27701, and EN18031.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and customer success in a bootstrapped, profitable startup with rapid growth and global user base.
• Maintain high standards of system design, testing, debugging, and trade-off analysis across native iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), and cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.

🎯 Requirements

• Shipped mobile features on iOS and/or Android using Swift or Kotlin and can independently own them — or proven ability to rapidly ramp into native mobile development.
• Genuine full-stack capability to own features end to end, extending from mobile client through API design and backend services — weighted above deep mobile specialization alone.
• Hands-on, production experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) with demonstrated judgment on when to trust versus verify AI-generated code.
• Strong ownership mindset with solid fundamentals in system design, testing, debugging, and architectural trade-offs; comfortable working across native and cross-platform frameworks (React Native / Flutter).
• Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, hardware/device, and AI teams on integrated product experiences.
• Commitment to building and maintaining compliant software systems under SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO27001, ISO27701, and EN18031 standards.
