đź“‹ Description
- • As a Full Stack Engineer at Protex AI, you will play a critical role in advancing AI-powered safety solutions that protect workers in industrial environments worldwide. Your work will directly contribute to reducing workplace risks by integrating cutting-edge computer vision capabilities into scalable, production-ready systems trusted by global leaders like DHL, Amazon, and Tesla.
- • You will help bridge the gap between sophisticated computer vision models and end-user applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality that empowers safety teams with real-time, actionable insights to prevent incidents before they occur.
- • Day to day, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js, focusing on building robust, scalable APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) that serve computer vision data to the core web application and Protex Intelligence products.
- • You will collaborate closely with Computer Vision Engineers to ingest, process, and integrate vision-derived features (such as object detection, pose estimation, and anomaly alerts) into the platform, ensuring low-latency, high-reliability data pipelines.
- • You will work with the User Applications team to implement frontend-integrated features, optimizing performance and usability while maintaining clean separation of concerns across the stack.
- • You will participate in architectural decisions involving microservices, serverless functions, and containerized deployments using Kubernetes, ensuring systems are observable, resilient, and easy to operate at scale.
- • You will contribute to database design and optimization using PostgreSQL, including schema evolution, query tuning, and data modeling for time-series and event-driven safety analytics.
- • You will engage in cross-functional collaboration with Product and Client Success teams to translate customer needs into technical specifications, delivering features from concept through testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
- • You will advocate for and implement engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and documentation, to maintain high code quality and system reliability.
- • You will stay curious and open to learning emerging technologies, including generative AI applications for safety insights, frontend infrastructure tooling, and performance optimization techniques, applying them where they add value to the product and team.
- • The Engineering team at Protex AI operates with a strong ownership culture, where engineers are encouraged to explore problems end-to-end and contribute across domains to deliver holistic solutions that improve both system performance and user experience.
- • You will join a mission-driven, globally distributed team passionate about using AI to create safer workplaces, where your technical contributions have a direct and measurable impact on reducing workplace injuries and fatalities.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development within complex, AI-integrated systems, gaining hands-on experience with modern cloud architectures, data-intensive applications, and real-time processing pipelines.
- • You will have the opportunity to grow into a technical leader by influencing system design, mentoring peers, and shaping the evolution of Protex’s safety intelligence platform as it scales to serve more industries and regions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with JavaScript backend frameworks (Node.js, Express, NestJS, or similar)
- • Experience with cloud technologies including serverless, microservices, PostgreSQL, and container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent)
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to work on impactful AI-driven safety solutions used by Fortune 500 companies like DHL, Amazon, and Tesla
- • Collaborative, inclusive culture committed to equity and equal opportunity across all dimensions of identity
- • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies including computer vision, generative AI, and scalable cloud architectures

Skills & Technologies
About Protex AI Ltd.
Protex AI develops computer-vision software that plugs into existing CCTV networks to detect unsafe behaviours and near-miss events in industrial workplaces in real time. The cloud platform uses machine-learning models to flag non-compliance with PPE, vehicle-pedestrian proximity, blocked exits and ergonomic risks, sending alerts to EHS teams to prevent injuries. Dashboard analytics quantify safety trends, benchmark sites and guide targeted interventions, helping large manufacturers, logistics and construction companies reduce incidents, insurance costs and operational downtime while automating routine audits.
