Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire product lifecycle—from whiteboard sketches to production deployments—of a platform that will soon orchestrate thousands of rental properties across multiple continents. You’ll write code on Monday that tenants and landlords will rely on by Friday.
- • Architect and ship end-to-end features: React dashboards that surface real-time occupancy analytics, Node.js micro-services that process payments in milliseconds, and serverless functions on AWS that trigger automated check-in instructions the moment a booking is confirmed.
- • Build rock-solid integrations with global booking channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO), payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Adyen), and communication tools (Twilio, SendGrid, Slack). Each integration you perfect removes friction for thousands of users.
- • Automate the mundane so humans can focus on the meaningful. You’ll craft scripts and workflows that handle key exchange logistics, cleaning schedules, damage reporting, and dynamic pricing—turning hours of manual labor into seconds of code execution.
- • Deploy fearlessly. You’ll manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code with AWS CDK or Terraform, and blue-green releases that keep our 99.9 % uptime streak alive while we push updates multiple times per day.
- • Debug across the stack with forensic precision. Whether it’s a race condition in a Lambda function, a memory leak in a React component, or an edge-case in a third-party webhook, you’ll trace, isolate, and resolve issues before users notice.
- • Collaborate daily with a cross-functional squad of operators, designers, and data analysts who sit in Paris, Lisbon, and New York. You’ll translate real-world pain points into elegant technical solutions and demo new features over Zoom before your coffee gets cold.
- • Champion code quality and engineering culture. You’ll enforce linting rules, write unit and integration tests, conduct empathetic code reviews, and mentor junior developers so the entire team levels up every sprint.
- • Experiment relentlessly. We run weekly “Lab Fridays” where you can spike on new technologies—whether that’s FastAPI micro-services, GraphQL federation, or edge computing with Cloudflare Workers—and ship MVPs that might become core products.
- • Scale globally. As we open new markets, you’ll ensure our architecture handles 10× traffic spikes during peak travel seasons, complies with regional data regulations, and delivers sub-second page loads from Tokyo to Toronto.
- • Measure impact obsessively. You’ll instrument analytics, set SLIs/SLOs, and iterate based on real user data—watching conversion rates climb and support tickets plummet as your code hits production.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping full-stack applications with Node.js and React in production environments
- • Demonstrated expertise in AWS serverless stack (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK or Terraform
- • Proven ability to design and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including authentication, rate-limiting, and error handling best practices
- • Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, or workflow automation in real-estate, travel, or e-commerce domains
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and working asynchronously across time zones
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses and stock options that grow as fast as the company does
- • Fully remote-first culture with quarterly team retreats in inspiring locations (recent trips: Lisbon surf camp, Swiss Alps hackathon)
- • Annual learning budget of €3,000 for courses, conferences, and certifications—plus two paid “learning days” every quarter
- • Flexible working hours, 35-day paid vacation policy, and a one-month paid sabbatical after three years
- • Top-tier health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, regardless of country of residence
