- • As a Full Stack Integrator at RTX BBN Technologies, you will contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects that directly support the technology-augmented warfighter of the future, working on AI/ML solutions, tactical battlefield situational awareness applications, and cybersecurity technologies that have real-world impact in defense and national security.
- • You will collaborate with a small, elite team of engineers and scientists to design and develop prototype software using modern open-source technologies, incorporating feedback from end users, field tests, and military exercises to refine and transition innovations from lab to operational use.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and building full-stack applications, integrating front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript) and back-end (Java) components, working with cloud and network stack protocols, and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and mission-ready.
- • You will engage in iterative development cycles, prototyping solutions, conducting technical evaluations, and presenting findings to stakeholders, all while adhering to rigorous defense industry standards and security protocols.
- • This role requires bi-weekly onsite presence at a military installation in San Diego, CA (approximately 2 days per week or 15% travel), where you will support customer environments, observe end-user interactions, and validate system performance in realistic operational settings.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in software development or systems engineering.
- • Proven experience with front-end development using JavaScript or TypeScript and/or back-end development using Java, including building and maintaining full-stack applications.
- • Demonstrated experience with system architectures and protocols, including cloud computing environments and network stack fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, microservices, APIs).
- • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance is mandatory; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility and must be verified prior to start date.
