đź“‹ Description
- • As a Full Stack Software Developer at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of design and engineering software by leading front-end innovation on high-impact projects that empower creators worldwide. Your work will directly contribute to transforming how Autodesk delivers value through modern, scalable, and AI-enhanced user experiences.
- • You will design, implement, and maintain high-performance user interfaces using React.js and TypeScript, ensuring seamless integration with Node.js-based back-end services while adapting to emerging technologies like JSON-based templating languages for UI development.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include innovating and solving complex technical challenges with bold, pragmatic problem-solving; driving iterative delivery by breaking work into manageable increments and gathering early feedback; contributing via inner source practices by creating and sharing reusable components across teams; leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or generative AI to accelerate development; mentoring junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing; optimizing code quality through testing, debugging, and refactoring; integrating Contentful or similar CMS platforms for dynamic content management (where experienced); and staying current with evolving front-end trends, AI integrations, and templating technologies to enhance team processes.
- • You will join a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team at Autodesk that values transparency, internal open-source (inner source) collaboration, and continuous learning, fostering an environment where innovation thrives through shared ownership and cross-functional partnership with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern full-stack development, gain hands-on experience with AI-augmented workflows and emerging UI paradigms like JSON templating, strengthen your leadership and mentoring abilities, and contribute to meaningful software that impacts industries ranging from architecture and manufacturing to entertainment—helping build a better world through technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in React.js for building interactive UIs, including state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and component lifecycle
- • Expertise in TypeScript for type-safe coding, enhancing code reliability and maintainability
- • Solid experience with Node.js for server-side logic, API development, or full-stack capabilities
- • Familiarity with modern front-end tools and ecosystems, such as Webpack, Babel, ESLint, and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
- • Willingness to learn JSON templating languages for UI (e.g., similar to JSON-based frameworks like Handlebars or custom templating engines)
- • Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT for code generation, or AI-driven IDE extensions) to boost productivity in past roles
- • Curiosity-driven approach to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving tech stacks
- • Excellent problem-solving skills paired with strong accountability—taking full ownership of issues from identification through resolution and delivery
- • Bold, pragmatic, and proactive attitude: making decisive actions, focusing on practical solutions, and driving progress without unnecessary delays
- • Focus on iterative delivery to enable rapid feedback loops, continuous improvement, and sustained momentum
- • Positive mindset essential: staying constructive and solution-focused rather than getting bogged down by complaints or setbacks, while uplifting team morale
- • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- • Hands-on experience with Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms for content-driven applications
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary range of $98,000 to $175,450 for U.S.-based roles, with potential to exceed based on experience and location
- • Annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and commissions (for applicable roles) as part of a comprehensive compensation package
- • Access to Autodesk’s extensive benefits package including health, financial, and wellness programs
- • Opportunities for professional growth through inner source collaboration, AI tool integration, and exposure to cutting-edge front-end technologies
- • Flexible remote work arrangement supporting work-life balance and productivity
- • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, with Autodesk proud to be an equal opportunity employer
- • Culture of innovation and purpose, where your work contributes to designing a better world across industries like architecture, engineering, construction, and media
