📋 Description

• • Architect and build the beating heart of Conductor AI’s next-generation compliance & security platform. You will own the design and implementation of a distributed system that orchestrates multiple large-language-models, high-throughput APIs, and a modern React-based web application used by analysts across the Department of Defense, federal agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. Every line of code you ship will directly accelerate how quickly critical documents are reviewed, redacted, and searched—turning multi-day workflows into minutes.
• • Own the full development lifecycle—from white-boarding service boundaries and data contracts to writing production-grade Python and TypeScript, to shepherding releases through CI/CD. You’ll decide when to optimize for speed and when to invest in extensibility, always keeping mission uptime and user trust as the north star.
• • Collaborate shoulder-to-shoulder with product, design, and end-users (often cleared analysts sitting in SCIFs) to translate hairy compliance requirements into crisp user stories and technical tasks. You’ll demo early prototypes, gather feedback in real time, and iterate until the experience feels magical.
• • Leverage state-of-the-art NLP techniques and prompt-engineering best practices to squeeze maximum accuracy and speed out of open-source and proprietary LLMs. You’ll experiment with retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning, and chain-of-thought prompting, then productionize the winners behind hardened, rate-limited, and monitored endpoints.
• • Champion security-first development: design zero-trust service meshes, enforce strict IAM policies, and embed SBOM generation into every build. Your code will undergo rigorous static analysis, container scanning, and red-team exercises to meet FedRAMP High and IL4 controls.
• • Help define the engineering culture for a seed-to-Series A rocket ship. You’ll introduce coding standards, lead blameless post-mortems, and mentor junior engineers while still spending at least 60 % of your time shipping features. As we scale, you’ll have a direct vote on tooling, team structure, and even office snacks.
• • Participate in quarterly, all-expenses-paid in-person summits where the entire company whiteboards the next 90-day roadmap, then unwinds over dinner in NYC. Between summits you’ll enjoy a WeWork pass, so you can pair-program with teammates or just enjoy free cold brew.
