📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end delivery of high-impact product features that directly improve how thousands of developers at companies like Duolingo, Okta, and Hootsuite build, ship, and maintain software every day.
• • Collaborate daily with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to translate complex customer pain points into elegant, scalable solutions that raise the bar for internal developer portals.
• • Write exemplary, thoroughly-tested Ruby on Rails and Vue.js code that your teammates will cite in code reviews as the gold standard for clarity, performance, and maintainability.
• • Champion our "you build it, you own it" culture by proactively identifying technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps—then leading the charge to refactor, optimize, and future-proof the platform.
• • Design and deliver proof-of-concept prototypes that explore new product directions, validate risky assumptions, and de-risk large initiatives before the broader team invests significant time.
• • Leverage modern AI coding assistants and prompt-engineering techniques to accelerate feature delivery, improve code quality, and embed AI-powered capabilities directly into OpsLevel’s customer-facing feature set.
• • Mentor engineers across all experience levels through thoughtful pull-request feedback, pair programming, and informal lunch-and-learn sessions that elevate the entire team’s craft.
• • Participate in a lightweight, blameless on-call rotation where you’ll debug and resolve incidents across our entire stack—Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, GraphQL, MySQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and AWS—turning outages into learning opportunities.
• • Ship production code weekly, instrument it with DataDog metrics, and iterate rapidly based on real user telemetry, ensuring that every feature delivers measurable value to our customers.
• • Contribute to our open-source Golang tooling and internal Terraform modules, sharing knowledge with the broader developer community while keeping OpsLevel’s infrastructure as code clean, tested, and auditable.
