📋 Description

• Architect and deliver the cloud backbone that powers our AI-driven consumer insights platform. You will own the design, deployment, and evolution of highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure on AWS (with working knowledge of Azure and GCP), ensuring that machine-learning models, agent-based systems, and graph engines serve insights to customers in seconds and business impact in minutes.
• Build end-to-end features that span React front ends to Python microservices. You’ll craft intuitive user experiences that surface complex AI outputs while simultaneously designing resilient backend services that handle terabytes of streaming data. Every commit you push moves us closer to real-time, self-service analytics for global consumer brands.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code excellence. Using Terraform and Ansible you will version, test, and automate every layer of our stack—from VPCs and IAM policies to Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers—so that environments are reproducible, auditable, and disposable at the click of a button.
• Own integrations that stitch together internal ML pipelines, third-party marketing APIs, and customer data warehouses. You will ensure these connections are secure, performant, and compliant with SOC 2 and ISO 27001, while providing graceful degradation and real-time alerting when external dependencies falter.
• Champion CI/CD and release engineering. You will stand up GitHub Actions (or Jenkins) pipelines that run unit, integration, and end-to-end tests in parallel, deploy blue-green releases to Kubernetes, and automatically roll back on anomaly detection. Your automation will cut deployment time from hours to minutes and eliminate manual toil.
• Instrument everything for observability. From Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards to distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, you will give engineers and data scientists the visibility they need to diagnose issues before customers notice. You’ll define SLIs/SLOs and hold the team accountable to 99.9 % uptime.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and designers. You will translate ambitious AI research into production-grade services, optimize GPU clusters for model inference, and create data contracts that guarantee quality from ingestion to UI.
• Drive security and privacy by design. You will embed encryption in transit and at rest, manage secrets with Vault, enforce least-privilege access, and conduct threat modeling sessions so that every feature ships with compliance baked in.
• Continuously improve our engineering culture. You’ll lead blameless post-mortems, mentor junior developers, and evangelize best practices in code reviews, testing, and documentation. Your influence will raise the bar for reliability, velocity, and craftsmanship across the organization.
• Experiment fearlessly. Whether it’s evaluating a new service mesh, trialing edge caching for sub-second dashboards, or prototyping generative-AI-driven UI components, you will allocate 20 % of your time to spikes that keep Sciemo on the cutting edge.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years designing and operating secure, scalable backend systems in production, preferably on AWS (working knowledge of Azure or GCP a plus)
• Expert-level proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and microservices deployment
• Demonstrated experience building Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible in regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Strong Python and React skills with a track record of shipping full-stack features from database schema to pixel-perfect UI
• Nice-to-have: prior work integrating ML pipelines or real-time analytics platforms, and familiarity with graph databases or agent-based architectures
