📋 Description

• Architect and deliver world-class interactive web experiences for globally recognized brands, leveraging modern open-source technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Vue, Svelte, and Node.js to create scalable, performant digital products that set industry benchmarks.
• Master and extend Hydra—Active Theory’s proprietary web framework—by contributing to its roadmap, implementing project-specific enhancements, and ensuring seamless integration with client ecosystems while documenting best practices for studio-wide adoption.
• Own the technical vision for multi-stakeholder engagements, translating ambitious creative concepts into robust system architectures, detailed information architecture diagrams, and clear technical documentation that empowers cross-functional teams to execute flawlessly.
• Lead end-to-end project delivery from initial scoping through post-launch optimization, orchestrating capacity planning, sprint management, and resource allocation to guarantee on-time, on-budget releases that exceed client KPIs and technical requirements.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Fortune-500 clients, presenting architectural proposals, negotiating integration requirements, and translating complex engineering trade-offs into business value during executive-level discussions.
• Champion code quality and engineering excellence by conducting rigorous code reviews, establishing automated testing pipelines, enforcing accessibility (WCAG 2.1), security (OWASP), and SEO best practices, and mentoring developers through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Integrate cutting-edge AI workflows—such as generative content pipelines, real-time personalization engines, and predictive analytics—into production systems, ensuring ethical AI governance and measurable ROI for client campaigns.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and AWS, implementing auto-scaling, CI/CD, monitoring, and disaster-recovery strategies that guarantee 99.9 % uptime for high-traffic global launches.
• Collaborate with creative directors, UX designers, and motion artists to prototype immersive WebGL experiences, AR/VR activations, and data-driven storytelling platforms that blur the line between marketing and entertainment.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing post-launch performance metrics, conducting root-cause analyses, and iterating on features that elevate user engagement, conversion rates, and brand loyalty across diverse digital touchpoints.
• Foster a culture of curiosity and nimbleness within the technical team, encouraging experimentation with emerging technologies (WebAssembly, edge computing, serverless architectures) while maintaining pragmatic delivery timelines.
• Contribute to Active Theory’s open-source initiatives and internal tooling, publishing reusable libraries, writing technical blog posts, and speaking at industry conferences to amplify the studio’s thought-leadership and attract top-tier talent.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with demonstrable leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex, high-visibility projects.
• Proven ability to architect scalable systems serving millions of users, evidenced by production deployments on GCP or AWS with rigorous security, performance, and accessibility compliance.
• Exceptional client-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting technical strategies to C-suite stakeholders and translating business objectives into engineering roadmaps.
• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) and Node.js, plus proficiency in RESTful and GraphQL API design, relational and NoSQL databases, and containerized microservices.
• Product-engineering mindset with a track record of capacity planning, sprint forecasting, and risk mitigation that consistently delivers projects on time and within budget.
• Availability to overlap with US time zones (ET–PT) and willingness to travel occasionally for on-site client workshops or launches.
