• As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our core product, focusing on the development and scaling of features that are fundamental to the donation experience for a vast, global user base. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your deep expertise in Node.js, React, and TypeScript to craft sophisticated components, ranging from dynamic, high-conversion donation widgets to intricate, data-driven administrative dashboards.
• Your work will be characterized by a steadfast commitment to code quality, architectural scalability, and an exceptional user experience, ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of nonprofit technology. • You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust frontend and backend features, utilizing modern technologies like React for the user interface and Node.js for server-side logic. This involves taking ownership of the full development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and ongoing optimization.
• A significant part of your responsibility will involve developing and enhancing our core products. This includes the critical donation checkout flows, highly customizable embeddable widgets that nonprofits use on their own sites, and comprehensive donor, organization, and partner portals that facilitate engagement and management.
• You will architect and develop system components designed to handle immense transaction volumes, scaling effectively to support millions of monthly transactions without compromising performance or reliability. This requires a forward-thinking approach to system design and a deep understanding of distributed systems.
• Writing clean, well-documented, and thoroughly testable code is paramount. We adhere to high engineering standards, and your contributions will be expected to reflect this commitment, ensuring maintainability and reducing technical debt.
• You will actively participate in and drive architecture and technical design discussions. This involves collaborating with fellow engineers to explore innovative solutions to complex challenges, contributing to the technical roadmap, and ensuring that our architectural decisions align with our long-term product strategy.
• Mentoring junior engineers and peers is a key aspect of this role. You will conduct thoughtful code reviews, offering constructive feedback and guidance to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.
• Close collaboration with product managers and designers is essential. You will partner with these stakeholders to refine requirements, clarify technical feasibility, and contribute to shaping the product roadmap, ensuring that technical development is aligned with user needs and business objectives.
• Proactively identifying and resolving bugs, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization is crucial. This involves a proactive approach to system monitoring, performance analysis, and implementing solutions to enhance the overall efficiency and user experience of the platform.
• The platform itself is a large and complex ecosystem serving nonprofits, donors, and partners globally. It encompasses a modern checkout experience, standalone SPA widgets, various portals, administrative tools, and internal applications, all built with a focus on innovation and impact.
• Our backend infrastructure is robust, powered by Node.js (Koa, NestJS) and MongoDB, while the frontend utilizes Webpack, Vue.js, and React, with a strong emphasis on TypeScript across the codebase. For high-throughput messaging and background processing, we leverage Kafka and Bull (Redis), with analytics data stored in ClickHouse and search capabilities provided by Elasticsearch.
• You will be joining a distributed team of over 160 product professionals, including more than 80 engineers, primarily located across Europe. Many of our developers possess extensive experience (5-10+ years), and we cultivate an environment that encourages deep technical curiosity and active knowledge sharing. 🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional fullstack development experience.
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (event loop, closures, promises, prototypes).
• Expert-level proficiency with React and its ecosystem.
• Strong backend expertise with Node.js (experience with Koa or NestJS is highly preferred).
• Experience with Webpack configuration, performance optimization, and profiling.
• A keen eye for detail and a high sense of ownership and accountability for your work.
