Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Shape the future of hospitality technology. Aleno is the first digital assistant that unites guests and hosts, personal service and AI, hospitality experts and tech innovators. As a Fullstack Developer you will join the Core team that is rebuilding the frontend—and parts of the backend—of the flagship product while keeping the live platform stable for thousands of restaurants and hotels across Europe.
- • Own the full lifecycle of new features. You will collaborate daily with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to take ideas from whiteboard sketches through research, implementation, automated testing and post-release monitoring. A recent example: end-to-end ownership of a table-side ordering flow that increased average order value by 18 % in pilot venues.
- • Lead a strategic migration. You will design and execute a phased plan to move the legacy component library to a brand-new, in-house design system built on modern React, TypeScript and GraphQL. Your decisions will set the architectural direction for every squad that touches the UI for the next three years.
- • Champion performance and reliability. You will profile bottlenecks in both browser and server runtimes, introduce caching layers, optimise bundle sizes and harden APIs that serve 5 000+ concurrent users during peak dining hours. Expect to ship incremental improvements every week and major refactors every quarter.
- • Raise the bar for engineering culture. You will introduce best practices such as trunk-based development, rigorous code reviews, accessibility audits and continuous delivery. Mentoring junior developers and running internal tech talks are part of the role.
- • Work with a cutting-edge stack. Frontend: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Storybook, React-Query, Tailwind CSS. Backend: Node.js, GraphQL (Apollo Server), PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS Lambda, CloudWatch. Tooling: GitHub Actions, Terraform, Sentry. You will have a budget and autonomy to propose new tools when they solve real problems.
- • Enjoy true flexibility. Core collaboration hours are 10:00–15:00 CET—perfect for early birds or parents on school runs. Outside that window you decide when and where you work. One day a week the whole Core team meets in the Wrocław office for white-boarding and lunch; the rest of the week is remote-friendly.
- • Make a measurable impact. Your code will run in Michelin-star restaurants, boutique hotels and fast-growing chains. The dashboards you build will help chefs reduce food waste by 12 % and help concierges cut check-in time in half. Every commit ships to production within hours and is used the same evening.
- • Grow with the company. Aleno doubled its engineering headcount last year and plans to triple it in the next two. High performers move into staff-level or team-lead tracks within 18 months. You will also receive a personal conference and education budget to stay ahead of the curve.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience building and shipping SaaS products in a product-driven company
- • Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS and Web APIs
- • Hands-on expertise with React and component-based, declarative UIs
- • Production experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs
- • Solid understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- • (Nice-to-have) Familiarity with AWS Lambda, CloudWatch and the broader AWS ecosystem
🏖️ Benefits
- • Home-office hardware budget: latest MacBook Pro or equivalent, noise-cancelling headset and any accessories you need
- • 26 paid vacation days plus all Polish public holidays and 5 paid sick days on B2B contract
- • Flexible core hours (10:00–15:00 CET) with full remote outside those slots and only one required office day per week
- • Twice-yearly company retreats (ski trip in winter, seaside hackathon in summer) plus optional conference speaking sponsorship
- • Personal development fund for courses, books and international conferences
