- • As a Fullstack Engineer at Atticus, you will join a mission-driven B-corp social enterprise that has helped hundreds of thousands of people access over $10B in life-changing legal and government aid, directly contributing to transforming the lives of Americans in crisis through technology.
- • You will design, build, and operate Atticus’ web applications with a backend focus, ensuring performance, modularity, extensibility, and reliability while collaborating across product, design, and engineering to refine user experiences for people navigating complex legal processes.
- • Your day-to-day will include architecting, designing, writing, reviewing, and testing code in a collaborative environment; partnering with product and design to evaluate and refine acceptance criteria; leveraging peer expertise to multiply your impact; and owning services in production through deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- • You will work closely with Atticus’ in-house law firm within the Representation pod to rapidly iterate on tools that help law firms deliver consistent, quality client experiences, turning complex legal workflows into intuitive, scalable software.
- • This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the culture and technical direction of a fast-growing Series C startup backed by top-tier VCs (Fika, Forerunner, GV, True Ventures) while working on meaningful projects that directly improve access to justice for vulnerable populations.
- • You will gain deep experience in evolving systems at scale, improving internal tooling and developer experience, and contributing to a B-corp that measures success not just in revenue but in social impact — helping you grow as both an engineer and a mission-aligned technologist.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience building production full-stack applications using modern languages and frameworks
- • Experience building and optimizing React-based user interfaces
- • Experience designing and operating reliable, scalable backend systems and APIs
- • Proven ability to partner closely with product and design to clarify requirements and deliver user-focused solutions
- • Demonstrated judgment in code quality, including strategic testing practices
- • Comfort owning services in production, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
