• • As a Freelance Fullstack Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Integration team. This team is at the forefront of connecting Vibe's platform with the external world, building and managing all technical integrations with third-party systems and partners. These integrations encompass APIs, webhooks, tracking mechanisms, data exchanges, and configuration workflows. The reliability, adoption, and trustworthiness of our product are directly dependent on the robustness of these integrations. You will operate at the intersection of backend engineering, frontend product development, and external ecosystems, collaborating closely with Product Managers and other Engineering teams.
• • Your primary mission will be to architect, develop, and maintain resilient, production-grade integrations that seamlessly connect Vibe's sophisticated platform with a diverse range of external systems. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of both backend and frontend development, ensuring that these integrations are not only functional but also exceptionally reliable, easily observable, and user-friendly, even when faced with the inherent instability or imperfections of external systems.
• • Key responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and continuously maintaining fullstack integration features. This involves building the bridges that connect Vibe's platform with external partners through APIs, webhooks, tracking protocols, and data flow mechanisms. You will be instrumental in crafting robust backend services and defining clear interface contracts, utilizing technologies like REST and gRPC. A critical aspect of this work involves implementing comprehensive error handling, sophisticated retry strategies, and ensuring idempotency to guarantee data integrity and system stability.
• • Furthermore, you will develop intuitive, product-facing integration workflows. These workflows are designed to abstract away the technical complexities of integrations, making them easily understandable and manageable for our users. This includes creating user interfaces for configuration, providing clear feedback on integration status, and gracefully handling error states, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.
• • A significant part of your role will involve operating and troubleshooting integration components in a live production environment. This requires a proactive approach to monitoring, utilizing logs, metrics, and advanced monitoring tools to ensure the continuous reliability and scalability of our integration systems. You will be expected to diagnose and resolve issues swiftly, minimizing any potential impact on our users and business operations.
• • Our technology stack is diverse and pragmatic, reflecting our belief in using the best tool for each specific job. On the backend, we leverage Go and Python, with Rust being employed in specific parts of the stack. For the frontend, we utilize TypeScript and React. Our infrastructure is built on AWS, employing technologies such as Kubernetes, Redis, Athena, and Spark to power our scalable solutions.
