• • As a Full-Stack Engineer at Nightfall AI, you will be at the forefront of innovation, playing a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our cutting-edge AI-native, unified data loss prevention (DLP) and insider risk management platform. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a product that is trusted by hundreds of customers, including leading AI innovators and top-tier financial institutions, to safeguard their most sensitive data across a diverse range of platforms, including SaaS applications, generative AI tools, email, and endpoint devices. You will be instrumental in building end-to-end features that empower our customers to operate with confidence, knowing their intellectual property and customer data are protected at scale.
• • Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, demanding a holistic approach to problem-solving and solution implementation. You will take ownership of designing, developing, and deploying scalable features, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and seamlessly integrated from the database layer all the way to the user interface. This end-to-end ownership means you will be involved in every stage, from initial concept and architecture to final deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring the highest quality and performance standards are met.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves contributing to and evolving our scalable full-stack architecture. You will collaborate with senior engineers and architects to define the technical direction, ensuring that our platform can handle increasing data volumes and complexity while maintaining agility. This includes architecting for seamless integration between sophisticated frontend components and high-throughput backend microservices, ensuring a cohesive and performant user experience and system operation.
• • Beyond technical contributions, you will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. This involves sharing your expertise, driving best practices in software development, code quality, testing, and deployment, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team. Your guidance will be crucial in nurturing the growth of our engineering talent.
• • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work in close partnership with Product Managers and Designers to translate complex business requirements and user needs into well-defined technical specifications and elegant, high-quality code. This cross-functional collaboration ensures that we are building products that not only meet technical demands but also deliver exceptional value and user experience to our customers.
• • A critical focus of your work will be on optimizing application performance and ensuring the unwavering reliability of our data protection platform. This involves implementing rigorous testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, as well as establishing robust observability practices to monitor system health, identify potential issues proactively, and ensure rapid resolution. Your efforts will directly contribute to the trust our customers place in Nightfall to protect their critical data.
• • You will be working with a modern technology stack, including React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, and Go or Python for the backend. Experience with GraphQL for API development is also highly valued. On the infrastructure side, you will leverage cloud platforms like AWS, along with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. Data persistence will involve working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Redis, and you may also engage with messaging systems like Kafka.
