đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Paloma Health, a mission-driven organization dedicated to revolutionizing access to autism and ADHD assessments and care within the NHS. We are seeking a talented Fullstack Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our AI-powered patient pathway and Electronic Patient Record (EPR) software.
  • • This is a full-time, hybrid role based in London, requiring 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days remote per week. You will report to the VP of Technology, Avishai Gurt.
  • • Paloma Health was founded out of frustration with the lengthy waiting times (2-10 years) for essential NHS children's autism and ADHD assessments. Our mission is to ensure families can access these services within 4 weeks of GP referral by redesigning care pathways, building innovative software and AI tools, and investing in clinician development.
  • • Since our launch, we have grown our team to 90 dedicated individuals and are planning to hire approximately 100 more over the next 12 months. We have successfully raised ÂŁ5 million in pre-seed funding from leading healthcare investors, enabling us to invest significantly in our technology and team, and have achieved financial sustainability.
  • • What sets Paloma Health apart is our clinically-led approach, CQC registration, and continuous improvement in outcomes and family experiences. Our in-house product and engineering team is key to providing a consumer-like healthcare experience and freeing up clinicians from documentation to focus on patient care.
  • • We foster a strong culture of transparency, community, and support for staff career development. Our founders, Dr. Mark Jenkins and Darshak Shah, bring extensive experience from building tech-enabled NHS services, having treated over 1 million NHS patients collectively.
  • • As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our current team of 6 software engineers and 3 product experts. You will take ownership of specific workstreams aimed at continuously improving our software, directly impacting the speed and quality of care provided to families.
  • • This role offers a clear career progression path. With demonstrated success and consistent delivery of objectives, you will have the opportunity to be promoted to a Senior Fullstack Engineer.
  • • Your core responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, clinical, and support staff, to translate the company's technical vision into reality.
  • • You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code across the entire technology stack, primarily using C# or TypeScript.
  • • A key part of your role will be creating and integrating with robust RESTful APIs, essential for both internal operations and external-facing services.
  • • You will develop complex and user-friendly interfaces using ReactJS and TypeScript, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.
  • • You will contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, resilient cloud-native applications, with a focus on platforms like AWS or GCP.
  • • A significant aspect of the role involves translating product and business requirements into well-architected and solid technical solutions.
  • • You will actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and overall engineering culture.
  • • This position also offers the exciting opportunity to build your knowledge and skills in AI and agent-based applications, applying them to areas such as intelligent process automation, data collection, and user assistance.
  • • You will be instrumental in ensuring Paloma can provide families with rapid access to autism assessments and support our clinicians by maximizing their time with patients rather than on administrative tasks.
  • • The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality software that directly impacts patient care and operational efficiency.
  • • You will contribute to a culture of innovation, where new ideas are encouraged and explored to further enhance our service offerings and technological capabilities.
