📋 Description

  • Join PermitFlow Inc. as a Fullstack Software Engineer, New Grad, and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the construction industry through applied AI. You will be instrumental in transforming complex, manual permitting workflows into seamless, AI-enabled software experiences that accelerate housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the nation.
  • As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, implement, and deploy robust backend and frontend services, APIs, and data pipelines. Your work will directly support our innovative AI-driven workflows, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in one of the largest and most critical sectors of the economy.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to partner cross-functionally with our Operations, Customer Success, and Sales teams. By collaborating closely with these departments, you will help deliver intelligent, user-facing features that address real-world challenges faced by the fastest-growing construction companies.
  • You will have the chance to work directly with our users, gaining invaluable insights into their needs and workflows. This direct interaction will empower you to shape product direction and rapidly ship features that drive tangible impact, contributing to PermitFlow's mission of de-risking projects and scaling construction with confidence.
  • Take ownership of features end-to-end, from initial architectural design and implementation through rigorous testing and successful production deployment. This comprehensive responsibility will allow you to develop a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and contribute significantly to the quality and reliability of our platform.
  • Contribute to establishing and refining engineering best practices within the team. Your input will be crucial in fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation as we scale our AI infrastructure.
  • Be at the forefront of building the AI infrastructure that underpins the next wave of reindustrialization, as the U.S. experiences a new capital expenditure supercycle across data centers, factories, housing, and renewables.
  • Leverage your skills to build scalable and reliable software solutions that tackle the massive delays, wasted capital, and lost opportunities that have historically plagued the $1.6T construction industry.
  • Contribute to a product that has already delivered unprecedented speed, accuracy, and visibility to over $20B in development, empowering contractors to reduce compliance time and operate with greater confidence.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment that values rapid iteration and direct customer feedback. Your contributions will have a visible and immediate impact on our product and our customers' success.
  • Develop your skills in modern fullstack technologies, including React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres, with ample opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with a talented and passionate team of engineers, product managers, and designers who are dedicated to solving complex problems and building a category-defining company.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to continuously elevate the team's technical capabilities.
  • Help ensure the security, performance, and scalability of our platform as we continue to grow and expand our services nationwide.
  • Embrace a customer-first mindset, ensuring that every feature and improvement we build directly addresses the needs and pain points of our users in the construction industry.
  • Be part of a company that is not just building software, but is actively shaping the future of how America builds, making a tangible difference in the development of essential infrastructure and housing.
  • This role is ideal for a proactive and driven individual eager to make a significant impact in a high-growth, venture-backed startup.

🎯 Requirements

  • Must have a graduation date within 12 months of applying, or have already graduated.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in fullstack software development, with a preference for experience gained in a startup or fast-moving team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and deliver features across frontend, backend, and data layers, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency or a strong aptitude to quickly learn and apply skills in key technologies such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres.
  • A proven track record of shipping production systems and making well-reasoned trade-offs to balance speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Genuine excitement for AI-powered tools and a passion for solving real-world challenges within the construction industry, coupled with a strong customer-first mindset.
