📋 Description
- • Lead the design, evolution, and ownership of critical fullstack architecture across frontend and backend systems to ensure scalability, performance, and resilience as the company grows.
- • Set and uphold engineering standards, best practices, and design principles across the engineering organization, influencing multiple teams to raise the overall technical bar.
- • Contribute directly to high-impact areas of the codebase by writing clean, maintainable, production-grade code in both frontend and backend environments.
- • Lead complex refactors and performance optimization initiatives to improve system reliability, reduce latency, and enhance user experience.
- • Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide technical mentorship to engineers through guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to evaluate trade-offs between scalability, cost, security, and time-to-market for key initiatives.
- • Design and document APIs, data models, and system interactions that support long-term growth and integration across 300+ payment service providers and alternative payment methods.
- • Guide teams on handling edge cases, failure scenarios, observability, and system monitoring to ensure robustness in high-traffic, transaction-heavy environments.
- • Identify system bottlenecks and drive scalable, sustainable solutions that align with the company’s technical roadmap and business objectives.
- • Influence long-term technical strategy by evaluating and introducing new technologies that deliver meaningful value to the platform and its users.
- • Improve monitoring, instrumentation, and reliability practices to enhance system observability and reduce mean time to resolution for critical incidents.
- • Work within a cloud-native architecture on AWS, leveraging services to build and maintain distributed systems that support over 20% of Mexico’s digital economy.
- • Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure alignment on architectural decisions, technical debt reduction, and system interoperability.
- • Maintain deep expertise in both frontend (React, Next.js, TypeScript) and backend (Golang and/or Python) technologies to enable fullstack ownership and cross-functional impact.
- • Apply strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns to solve complex engineering problems with precision and foresight.
- • Drive adoption of best practices in debugging, performance tuning, and refactoring across the engineering organization.
- • Communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Staff, Principal, or Senior Software Engineer in fullstack environments
- • Strong frontend expertise with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- • Strong backend experience with Golang and/or Python
- • Deep experience designing distributed systems and scalable APIs
- • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns
- • Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures
