📋 Description

  • Join iCapital Network, a leading global fintech company, as a Vice President within our dynamic Hedge and Private Equity Fund Finance team. This pivotal role is based in our Lisbon, Portugal office, offering a hybrid work model that balances in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
  • As a Vice President, you will assume significant operational responsibility for servicing a diverse portfolio of hedge and private equity fund of fund and access fund vehicles. This includes overseeing critical accounting functions and ensuring the accurate and timely financial reporting to our valued investors.
  • You will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end fund accounting processes, encompassing subscriptions and redemptions for hedge funds, detailed tracking of capital activity in private equity funds, preparation of partner capital statements, and the finalization of annual audited financial statements.
  • A core aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with our third-party fund administrators. You will coordinate, prepare, review, and ultimately approve key fund deliverables, including Net Asset Valuations (NAVs), Partner Capital Account Statements, performance reports, capital calls, distributions, and the complex subscription and redemption processes inherent in hedge fund operations.
  • You will be responsible for the meticulous review, editing, and sign-off on crucial financial documents. This includes capital calls and distributions, monthly and quarterly NAV packages, and the accurate calculation of accruals and fees, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify, research, and resolve any fund accounting, financial, or operational issues that may arise. Your analytical acumen will be key to troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions, maintaining the integrity of our financial operations.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Fund Finance team and our vital business partners, including Investor Relations and Client Service groups. You will provide essential performance reports, address inquiries, and ensure seamless communication regarding fund activities and investor needs.
  • Take ownership of cash management across multiple portfolios. This involves preparing comprehensive cash forecasting and budgeting reports, enabling strategic financial planning and ensuring adequate liquidity for fund operations.
  • Ensure that all financial reporting requirements for feeder funds on the platform are met with the utmost timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency. This includes managing year-end queries and supporting audit processes.
  • This role demands a proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a strong emphasis on managing multiple tasks effectively under pressure. You will be expected to contribute to a collaborative team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • You will play a crucial role in maintaining the trust and confidence of our investors by ensuring the highest standards of financial transparency and reporting. 🎯 Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, with a specialized focus on alternative investments, specifically Private Equity or Hedge Funds.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant equivalent certification is a mandatory requirement.
  • Proven experience in managing fund accounting operations, including NAV calculation, capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and resolve intricate accounting issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external administrators, and investors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with Investran is considered a significant advantage.
  • A Bachelor's/University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with a Big 4 audit firm, auditing Private Equity and Hedge Fund vehicles, is a strong plus.
  • Confident demeanor with demonstrated leadership potential and a proactive, self-starter attitude.
