- • We’re looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, and technically minded Game and Hardware Tester to help us build AtomEngine, a next-generation, cloud-first game engine.
- • In this role, you will focus on testing AtomEngine’s Developer Mod Kit and customer-created Mods used to customize and extend the platform in creative and innovative ways.
- • Join our small, expert team of technologists, game developers, and innovators as we shape the future.
- • Learn and master AtomEngine to create and execute war-game scenarios in both single-player and multiplayer environments.
- • Identify bugs, provide actionable feedback, and recommend improvements to AtomEngine and Battle Road’s internal processes.
- • Perform a variety of testing tasks in a timely, efficient, and thorough manner.
- • Execute load testing, stability testing, functionality testing, and other testing activities as needed.
- • Communicate effectively with team members to quickly learn new systems, remove blockers, and provide actionable test results in real time.
- • Adapt quickly to fast-moving workflows, shifting priorities, and evolving deliverables.
- • Partner with test leadership to create and maintain clear, detailed test plans and testing procedures.
- • Test AtomEngine’s Developer Mod Kit by identifying and reporting bugs, validating functionality, and providing feedback to improve the user experience.
- • Test AtomEngine with and without customer-created Mods, documenting performance impacts, compatibility issues, and overall functionality changes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience as a game development hobbyist or technical tinkerer, including scripting or visual scripting experience with tools such as Unreal Blueprints and, preferably, GDScript.
- • Familiarity with PC gaming hardware.
- • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of self-direction.
- • Extensive experience in video game quality assurance across multiple titles, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
- • Proven proficiency with industry-standard testing tools and software, including version control systems, bug tracking systems, and test management tools.
