  • • Manage client relationships and daily administration of assigned Global Capital Markets (GCM) accounts with moderate to complex risk levels, ensuring full compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal/external service partners, coordinating all administrative, operational, and risk management activities for GCM transactions.
  • • Monitor and review administrative systems and databases to ensure accurate account setup and ongoing operational integrity for high-risk accounts.
  • • Review, analyze, and provide expert commentary to legal counsel on the negotiation and drafting of operative documents and agreements for assigned accounts.
  • • Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to monitor regulatory compliance and resolve control and client service issues in a timely manner.
  • • Collaborate with external parties including attorneys, financial advisors, and alliance/service partners to structure, negotiate, and close GCM transactions efficiently.
  • • Execute complex account administration tasks including cash flow processing, fee billing, internal and external reporting, and tickler system management.
  • • Partner with GCM Sales teams on client calls (in-person or virtual) to support new business development, prepare fee proposals, and evaluate fee suitability against established schedules.
  • • Monitor and ensure timely collection of aged receivables by working closely with Fee Billing teams.
  • • Cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective clients and referral sources to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • • Represent GCM at transaction closings, lead client meetings and presentations, and prepare all supporting documentation to retain and expand client relationships.
  • • Lead or participate in Divisional and Departmental projects related to product development, fee structures, service delivery, and policy/procedure enhancements.
  • • Supervise and mentor less experienced Relationship Managers and Client Administrators in executing cash flows, fee billing, reporting, and tickler processing.
  • • Exercise managerial authority over staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management, and terminations within the team.
  • • Identify, design, implement, and enhance internal controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risks in alignment with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
  • • Escalate risk-related issues to management and ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit findings and regulatory requirements.
  • • Advise management on potential product changes due to court rulings, regulatory shifts, or competitive landscape changes that could impact profitability or control environment.
  • • Promote an inclusive workplace culture aligned with M&T Bank’s brand values and commitment to belonging.
  • • Complete other related duties as assigned, including coverage for absent colleagues and participation in corporate initiatives.
