Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Redly Games SRL is inviting ambitious, curious creators to raise their hand—even when no exact job post exists. By submitting this open application you plant a flag in our future: we review every entry, tag promising profiles, and reach out the moment a need aligns with your super-powers. Think of it as a living talent pool rather than a black-hole inbox.
  • • You will help us craft our debut title, a mobile-first 3D adventure built in Unreal Engine 5. Because we are pre-launch and intentionally small, every contribution—code, concept art, pipeline script, community meme, or monetization model—ships straight into the live build and is seen by players within days, not quarters.
  • • We operate as a senior-leaning, fully remote studio across Europe and North America. You can work from a Berlin co-working loft, a Vancouver kitchen table, or a Portuguese surf van as long as you can reliably overlap 3-4 hours with UTC-8 to UTC+2 and communicate clearly in asynchronous tools (Slack, Notion, Miro, Perforce).
  • • Expect to own problems end-to-end. A designer here prototypes a mechanic, tests it in a nightly build, balances telemetry, then writes the patch notes. An artist models a character, rigs it, drops it into MetaHuman, and records voice-over lip-sync—all in one sprint. We prize V-shaped people: deep mastery in one domain plus enthusiastic legs in several others.
  • • Technical literacy is non-negotiable across all functions. Marketers query our Snowflake data to size cohorts, producers write Python to wrangle Jira, and community managers debug crash logs with players on Discord. You do not need to ship C++, but you must be fearless around CLIs, Git, and modern game-dev tooling.
  • • We are pioneering a new production paradigm that combines procedural content, cloud-based asset pipelines, and AI-assisted QA so a dozen-person team can punch far above its weight. You will experiment daily with bleeding-edge plug-ins, submit pull requests to our custom UE5 branch, and document what breaks so the next teammate doesn’t.
  • • Feedback is candid, kind, and fast. We run weekly “brutal demos” where builds are torn apart in front of the entire studio. You will present your work, defend decisions, then iterate overnight. Ego is left at the door; love of craft walks in.
  • • Growth is written into the budget. Each teammate receives an annual learning stipend for courses, conferences, or hardware. Past uses include GDC passes, Wacom Cintiqs, and Unreal Fellowship tuition. Your progression path is co-authored every quarter, not once a year.
  • • Culture is deliberately asynchronous yet intensely collaborative. We default to long-form write-ups, recorded Loom videos, and design docs that read like short stories. Meetings are rare and agenda-driven; deep-work blocks are sacred. You will learn to communicate complex ideas in crisp prose and lightweight diagrams.
  • • Compensation is competitive for indie standards and scales with contribution, not title inflation. Early joiners receive revenue-share tokens plus equity in the studio holding company, aligning everyone around a long-term hit rather than a quick port. Transparency reports are shared quarterly.
  • • Finally, you will help shape not only the game but the studio itself. Org charts are drawn in pencil; if you prove you can run a team, we will hand you a team. If you invent a tool the industry needs, we will spin up a SaaS sidecar. Ambition here is limited only by imagination and execution.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Demonstrated portfolio or shipped work in at least one game-dev discipline (art, design, engineering, production, audio, QA, community, data, or marketing)
  • • Comfortable working fully remote with reliable 3-4 hour overlap between UTC-8 and UTC+2
  • • Technical literacy: fearless with CLIs, Git, and modern game-dev or analytics tooling
  • • Ability to own problems end-to-end—from prototype to live build—and iterate rapidly based on candid feedback
  • • Excellent asynchronous communication skills (long-form write-ups, diagrams, recorded videos)

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive indie-level salary plus revenue-share tokens and equity in the studio holding company
  • • Annual learning stipend for courses, conferences, or hardware (recent uses: GDC passes, Wacom Cintiqs, Unreal Fellowship)
  • • Fully remote setup—work from anywhere with flexible overlap hours and deep-work-friendly culture
  • • Quarterly progression planning and transparent financial reports shared with the entire team
