📋 Description

• As General Manager for Aerospace & Defense at P1 AI Inc., you will build and scale the company's defense business from the ground up, owning P&L responsibility and driving growth in a high-impact, mission-critical industry at the intersection of AI and aerospace & defense.
• Day to day, you will develop and execute go-to-market strategy, manage end-to-end customer journeys, negotiate strategic partnerships, engage with government and industry stakeholders, oversee compliance with defense regulations (ITAR, NISPOM), and collaborate with leadership on product roadmap and forward-deployed engineering efforts.
• P1 AI is building Archie, an AI engineer agent designed to integrate into human engineering teams, with the long-term goal of achieving engineering ASI. The company is backed by top-tier venture investors and AI leaders, operating at the forefront of applied AI in physical systems.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to define a new category in defense technology, build a FOCI-mitigated subsidiary (P-1 Defense), lead cross-functional initiatives, and grow both your leadership and technical fluency in AI-enabled engineering systems while delivering measurable business outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience owning P&L for a business unit, startup, or major program
• Track record of taking products or businesses from 0→1 and ideally 0→10 in complex industries
• Experience negotiating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers, executives, operators, and government customers
• Established relationships across defense primes, government organizations, or strategic industry partners
• Fluency in modern AI and connections within the AI ecosystem
• Exceptional urgency, autonomy, and bias toward action
• Eligibility for a US government security clearance (existing clearance preferred)
