• As a General QA Engineer with a strong automation skillset and a willingness to engage in manual testing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our advanced software solutions. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on test execution, the development and maintenance of automated test suites, and comprehensive ownership of the QA process. You will be involved from the initial stages of requirements review through to the validation of production-ready releases, ensuring our technology meets the highest standards.
• Your responsibilities will encompass leading the creation and execution of detailed test plans and comprehensive test suites. You will be tasked with designing and building complex test scenarios that accurately simulate a wide array of operational conditions and potential edge cases, ensuring our systems are robust under all circumstances. This includes developing and refining our test automation solutions with a keen focus on scalability, maintainability, and efficiency, thereby enhancing our ability to detect defects early in the development cycle.
• A critical aspect of this role involves the meticulous identification, documentation, and tracking of software defects using industry-standard issue-tracking systems. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated test data generation and management strategies, ensuring that our testing is based on realistic and comprehensive datasets. Furthermore, you will implement and manage automated testing frameworks and tools, including the crucial area of software-in-the-loop (SITL) testing, to significantly boost testing efficiency and facilitate early defect detection.
• You will ensure that we maintain comprehensive test coverage across all facets of our software, including web interfaces, backend systems, and the critical drone communication layers. This involves close collaboration with our engineering teams to swiftly identify, document, and resolve software defects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your role will extend to working intimately with development, product, and operations teams, guaranteeing that quality is embedded at every stage of the product lifecycle.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in software and hardware QA, with a focus on complex systems, preferably involving UAVs, IoT, or embedded technologies.
• Solid understanding of testing principles and best practices across the mentioned domains.
• Experience with test automation tools and Python, including automation frameworks such as Pytest and Playwright.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and understanding of network solutions and protocols (preferably at lower OSI levels).
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and a hands-on, detail-oriented mindset.
