- • Translate a wide range of financial and technical content including website materials, account applications, trading platforms (IBKR Desktop, Client Portal, IBKR Mobile), client communication emails, bulletins, and announcements from English to German and vice versa.
- • Translate FAQs, user guides, and documentation to ensure accurate and consistent messaging across all client-facing materials.
- • Maintain and update terminology glossaries and translation memory (TM) databases to ensure consistency and efficiency across all translation projects.
- • Perform quality assurance on existing translations by proofreading, editing, and correcting errors to uphold high linguistic and technical standards.
- • Process and format various document types, ensuring translations are properly structured and ready for deployment in digital and print formats.
- • Work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, global financial environment while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
- • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, marketing, and technology to ensure translated content aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- • Utilize CAT tools daily for translation tasks; configure and apply advanced features to enhance productivity and consistency.
- • Leverage AI-assisted translation technologies as an auxiliary tool to improve efficiency without compromising accuracy or quality.
- • Stay current with evolving financial terminology, trading concepts, and regulatory language in both English and German markets.
- • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple translation projects simultaneously while prioritizing based on urgency and impact.
- • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and client data.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of translation processes and workflows within the localization team.
- • Adapt quickly to new tools, platforms, and content types as the company expands its global product offerings.
- • Embody a self-confident, flexible, and collaborative personality while working in a team-oriented, multinational environment.
- • Work in a hybrid model: four days per week in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida office and one day remotely.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native German speaker
- • Proficient in English
- • MA or BA degree in Translation or related discipline
- • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience translating financial content for a financial institution
- • CAT tool daily operation experience (configuration and advanced use preferred)
- • Experience using AI technology as an auxiliary tool in translation workflows
