đź“‹ Description
- • As a Global Payroll Specialist at Legora, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across more than 40 countries where the company operates, supporting the organization’s mission to redefine legal technology through precision and operational excellence.
- • You will act as the central point of coordination between Legora and external payroll providers, overseeing governance, controls, and process improvements rather than performing manual payroll processing, enabling scalable and reliable global operations.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing monthly payroll cycles by coordinating timelines, monitoring deliverables, and acting as backup to the Global Payroll Manager to ensure continuity and accountability across all regions.
- • You will perform rigorous payroll validations and reconciliations, reviewing reports from external vendors to identify discrepancies, ensure data integrity, and maintain compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and internal financial controls.
- • You will support audit readiness by maintaining comprehensive documentation, preparing reports for internal and external auditors, and ensuring all payroll processes are traceable and compliant with SOX and GDPR-relevant standards where applicable.
- • You will help design, standardize, and continuously improve global payroll workflows by developing clear SOPs, identifying automation opportunities, and collaborating with HR, Finance, and IT to enhance system integrations, particularly with the HiBob HRIS.
- • You will manage the end-to-end flow of payroll data inputs from HiBob to payroll providers, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of employee master data, variable pay, bonuses, equity, and deductions.
- • You will partner closely with the Finance team to support month-end close, cost allocations, and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring payroll expenses are accurately reflected in financial reporting.
- • You will serve as a trusted advisor to HR on payroll-related inquiries, including tax implications, benefits integration, and employee communications, fostering cross-functional alignment and employee trust.
- • You will engage proactively with external payroll vendors to resolve issues, drive service improvements, and ensure SLAs are met, acting as the internal advocate for process efficiency and vendor accountability.
- • You will contribute to Legora’s culture of continuous improvement by participating in process retrospectives, suggesting enhancements, and helping build a payroll function that scales with the company’s rapid global growth.
- • You will develop deep expertise in international payroll compliance, gaining exposure to diverse regulatory environments across Europe, North America, APAC, and LATAM, positioning you as a strategic payroll advisor within a high-growth tech organization.
- • You will strengthen your stakeholder management and influencing skills by working across legal, engineering, finance, and HR teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment where clarity, precision, and collaboration are valued.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional payroll experience, with preference for candidates who have managed payroll in a global, multi-country, or outsourced setting
- • Strong understanding of payroll controls, compliance requirements, and reconciliation processes across jurisdictions
- • Proven ability to work effectively with HRIS platforms, particularly HiBob or similar systems, to manage data integrity and system integrations
- • Excellent analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with experience in payroll validation, discrepancy resolution, and audit support
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of partnering with finance, HR, external vendors, and leadership across time zones and cultures
🏖️ Benefits
