- • As a Global Tax Accountant at Ciena Corporation, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s direct tax function, ensuring compliance with U.S. federal, state, and international tax requirements while contributing to accurate and timely tax reporting.
- • Day to day, you will support global income tax provision processes through the preparation of tax workpapers and supporting schedules, contribute to domestic and international income tax compliance, monitor and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts, perform tax research on evolving legislation, partner with international accounting teams and external advisors, assist with income tax audits, and contribute to direct tax initiatives and process improvements.

🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax role within a multinational public company
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- • Working knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international income tax regulations
- • Experience preparing tax workpapers, provisions, and compliance documentation
- • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams
